📅 On this day today...

22 October 1961 - The Beginning of Porsche Club Great Britain.

Today marks the anniversary of the very first official meeting of Porsche Club GB, held at Château Impney, Droitwich. It all began when Jeff May, during a visit to the Porsche factory in Stuttgart, met Roger Holliday, Porsche’s overseas PR manager. A simple suggestion - “why not start a Porsche Club in Great Britain?” - sparked a collaboration between Jeff and fellow enthusiast Arthur Sheffield.

After an ambitious but fruitless first attempt to gather members via an Autosport advert (which, rather unfortunately, appeared on the very day of the meeting), the pair persevered. On 22nd October 1961, thirty 356 owners (the 356 was the only production model at that time, aside from race cars) came together, and with that, Porsche Club GB was officially born.

More than six decades later, that same dedication to the marque continues to define our community. Join us for the next part of our journey! ❤️

We want to know where you read your Porsche Post!

Once the magazine drops through your letterbox, send us a photo of where you read it. Whether you read it at the top of Mount Everest, in the middle of the ocean, or gliding through Venice on a gondola, we want to see it. The more unusual, the better!

Here is April ( ) reading her September 2026 edition at Godrevy Point, Cornwall, overlooking Godrevy Lighthouse. Joined by her dog, Fennel, she spent some time by the sea catching up on the issue.

Where will you read yours? 📖🏔️🌊

✈️ Motoring Meets Aviation

Recently, the Scotland North Region rolled into the RAF Lossiemouth Friends and Family Day for unique behind-the-scenes access.

From a tour of the Typhoon jet engine maintenance workshop with Nigel, a Porsche Club GB member, to watching four RAF Typhoons thunder into the sky with the unmistakable roar of afterburners, and finishing with a tour of a Poseidon aircraft, showcasing engineering excellence in a very different form.

Join Porsche Club GB and enjoy regional events, drives, and experiences like this. 🚗✈️

Yesterday we saw the unveiling of something very special and new: the Porsche Mission S.

Despite appearances, this concept car isn’t necessarily a direct successor to the 918 Spyder, but instead explores the idea of a mid-engined super sports car that would sit above the 911 in Porsche’s permanent line-up. Is there room for something like this in the range? We certainly
think so!

With design cues from the likes of the 911, 959 and 911 GT1, alongside the distinctive ‘dial’ wheels of the 928, this is a car that manages to paint a picture of the future while respecting its past. Even the interior combines traditional physical buttons with modern digital displays,
keeping the driver at the heart of the experience.

What would a production version look like? Only time will tell.

Let us know your thoughts on the Mission S in the comments below!

Mission S. Authentic. Consistent. Timeless.

A glimpse into the future - shaped by our heritage. Mid-engine architecture. A focus on the driver and the driving experience.

Call it a love letter.

A 1980s icon with a Flachbau twist. 💚

This 1986 Porsche 911 (930) Turbo has been converted to ‘flatnose’ specification using original Porsche factory parts, giving it an unmistakable look.

Finished in Falsen Green with a Linen leather interior, this classic pairs its distinctive styling with a rebuilt 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six producing close to 400bhp, a four-speed manual gearbox and 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels.

Now available through Club Partners, .
