We have a vacancy for a Day Services Manager working at our Day Centre, Sutton Road, Bournemouth and our offices at 698/700 Wimborne Road, Bournemouth. The role is for 28 hours a week, Monday to Thursday working hours are: Monday & Wednesday 8am -3pm and Tuesday & Thursday 9am – 4pm.

Volunteers’ we need you!

We have some great volunteering opportunities available for you to explore. The time, care, and kindness that volunteers give mean the world to us and to those we support. Even a small time commitment can make a big difference.

Among our volunteering opportunities we are looking for help at our Memory Clubs, which run across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and East Dorset on various days. Designed to help individuals living with mild to moderate Dementia or cognitive challenges, these groups offer support, mental wellbeing and cognitive stimulation.

The role involves assisting and participating with the weekly group activities, serving refreshments and helping with setting up and packing down.

Charity shop treasure

Do you know a Warhammer or Terrain Crate fan? What about a special gift for Dad this Father’s Day, present for loved one or friend, then take a trip to our charity shop in Wimborne.

We have been donated a range of Warhammer and Terrain Crate items, which are on sale now! The shop is located at 2 Jessop House, Mill Lane, Wimborne, BH21 1HG and is open Monday - Saturday 9:30am - 4:00pm. Our charity shops rely on generous donations to help us continue supporting older people in Bournemouth, Poole, and East Dorset. We gratefully accept a wide range of items, including books, homeware, electrical goods, and clothing. Footcare Services

We offer simple toenail cutting and more advanced footcare both in your own home and at our Footcare Clinic in Winton.

Our Simple toenail cutting service operates within the community with our trained staff coming to you in your own home, or if you prefer you can book to attend our clinic at 698 Wimborne Road, Winton BH9 2EG.

Advanced footcare is only available at our dedicated clinic for over 55’s living in Bournemouh, Poole, Christchurch & East Dorset and is carried out by our qualified Foot Health Practitioners. Services include, toenail cutting, corn removal, calluses, cracked heels, ingrown toenails, thickened nails, Athlete’s foot, Verruca removal and general footcare.

Dementia Day Centre

Our day centre is designed to provide care and companionship for older people living with dementia or cognitive issues, particularly those who need assistance or low-level supervision during the day. Our centre is run by trained staff and volunteers who provide activities that are suitable for all to participate in, refreshments, and a two-course meal. This enables caregivers to have much needed respite with the knowledge that their loved ones are being taken care of in a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment.

Running on a Monday between 10am – 2.30pm at Trinity United Reformed Church, Sutton Road, Charminster, BH9 1RN this service is for people aged over 60 living in Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch and East Dorset with dementia or cognitive issues. Please note we are unable to provide personal care.

Volunteer at a Memory Club

Memory Clubs are a popular, enjoyable social groups for those with cognitive issues. As a volunteer at these sessions you would be assisting with room set up, welcoming clients, making tea/coffee, participating in the sessions and joining in the discussions, playing table games as requested by the facilitator. Helping with pack down and tidying at the end of the session.

Sessions run Monday – Thursday across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch & East Dorset at various locations. We are specifically looking for help in the following areas:
