Getting out for a walk can do wonders for both you and your baby. But you don’t need to be on your own… come and meet other local parents down at on the 1st Monday of every month at 10am.

Walk - coffee - cake…. What better way to start the month!

There is a car park by the park that’s free for 3 hours (but you need to log that you’re there on the app!)- or free on road parking.

Baby change facilities in the cafe.

Prams welcome or bring your carrier to make the woodland section easier. (Woodland section is optional!)

Give me a shout if you want to hire a carrier for the walk or if you want a £5 fit check on your carrier.

The CRUMBS Project!

We had the lovely opportunity to visit The CRUMBS Project and see our very own order of gingerbread people being decorated!

The CRUMBS Project is a Bournemouth-based charity that supports adults with disabilities, neurodivergence and mental health conditions through hospitality training, helping people develop new skills, build confidence and work towards greater independence and employment.

We’re delighted to support such a fantastic local organisation that makes a real difference in our community.

A huge thank you to the team at CRUMBS for our beautifully decorated gingerbread people.

Celebrating International Day of Older People at Slades Park Pavilion!

October is all about celebrating the people, places and activities that help us stay active, connected and supported in our community.

At Slades Park Pavilion, we believe that everyone deserves to feel welcome, valued and part of something special. Throughout the month, we’re celebrating our wonderful older community with activities, friendship and plenty of opportunities to connect!

Here’s what’s happening at Slades:

Dementia Friendly Coffee Club – Every Tuesday, 1:30–2:30pm, with friendly chats, guest speakers and free 20-minute chair yoga.

Knit & Natter – Every Thursday. Come along, share your skills and enjoy a lovely, welcoming atmosphere.

Chair Yoga with Elibeth – Every Friday, 11–11:30am. Just £3.50 per session. Improve your strength, balance and flexibility in a supportive environment.

20% off decaf coffee – Throughout October for everyone aged 60 and over!

Want to make a difference? Volunteer with us! We’re always looking for friendly volunteers to help make Slades Park Pavilion a welcoming place for everyone.

Whether you want to meet new people, try something new, enjoy a cuppa or simply spend time with others, there’s a place for you here.
