⛵️Boat Park Tidy-Up⛵️

The boat park will shortly be undergoing a much needed tidy-up!

As many of you will have noticed, there are a number of abandoned, damaged, or unseaworthy boats and trailers currently taking up valuable space, and we have people keen to use it!
Over the coming weeks, any boats, vessels, or trailers that appear to have been abandoned may be moved to enable maintenance and improvement work to be carried out.

If you have a boat or trailer stored at the boat park that may not be known to us, please contact the Clerk at [email protected] so that we can update our records.

Please remember that boats are left at the boat park at the owner's own risk and discretion. However, all vessels should be kept in a safe and tidy condition. Leaving boats uncovered for extended periods can lead to deterioration, create safety hazards, and affect the appearance of the area. We have a number of vessels that we have had to drain water from today.

We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping to keep the boat park safe, tidy, and accessible for all users and hopefully a village asset everyone can be proud of.

‼️Just a reminder that vehicles should not be driving onto Borth beach to launch jet skis.

Aside from the obvious safety issues for walkers, children and other beach users, it can also damage the beach and dunes.

We also have nesting plovers on the beach at this time of year — these small ground-nesting birds are especially vulnerable to disturbance from vehicles and other activity near nesting areas.

If you do see it happening, please report it via 101 and, if safe to do so, take photos of the vehicle and registration number along with the time/location.

🚗 Car Parking 🚗

We love seeing people enjoying the village — but please park considerately and be mindful of our sometimes narrow roads.

Please avoid:
• Double parking
• Blocking driveways or access routes
• Parking on corners or narrow stretches of road

There is a FREE car park opposite Nisa, just a short walk from the beach. You can also cut through and come out by the Hall, putting you right near the village amenities.

A little consideration makes a huge difference for residents, emergency access and everyone trying to get around — thank you

We have seen in some Facebook groups this weekend claiming that the PSPO regarding the dogs on the beach in Borth is not in place and enforceable. This is not true.

Please find more info here. It is due for review this September but the restrictions are still very much in place.

Dogs not being allowed on the beach between 1st May and 30th September is also one of the key factors in us retaining our blue flag beach status this year, so please continue to adhere to these guidelines.

Dogs are allowed as the signs suggest, further down the beach past the golf club.

Please message us if you have any further questions and as mentioned, the PSPO is up for review in September. Please be respectful to all and the rules that are in place.

A section of Borth beach and promenade has restrictions on it, one excluding walking dogs on the beach and one excluding walking dogs without a lead on the promenade. You will see signs near the beach and promenade detailing these restrictions. These restrictions are in place by virtue of a Public S...

Sadly no new information this morning showing for recycling collection but will chase up with CCC this morning. The community council has been looking into ‘seagull proof’ waste bags for households as trialed in Aberystwyth , so will hopefully be able to update on this soon.
