Over the last two evenings, Coach Katja had the privilege of teaching two women’s self defence seminars for members of Ceredigion’s Women’s Institute

With 40 ladies attending across the two sessions, we focused on simple, effective techniques that can be used by anyone, regardless of age, size, or experience

A great reminder that Jiu Jitsu isn’t about strength or athleticism, it’s about knowledge, confidence, and technique

We are looking forward to this year’s Royal Welsh Show in Llanelwedd from 20-23 July.

Our stand will be hosted by Powys Brecknock Federation and the exhibit will be on the theme “The Great Forest of Brecknock”. There will be daily craft demonstrations on the stand and show goers will have a chance to admire the federation entries in our Rose Bowl (produce and handicraft) and Brecon Cup competitions (floral art) on the theme “Circles, Rings & All Things Round”.

We are also excited to be at the National Eisteddfod from 1-8 August.

Eisteddfod y Garreg Las will be held in Llantwd, North Pembrokeshire and our stand will be hosted by Pembrokeshire Federation.
The stand will be promoting the WI and our campaigns and there will also be daily demonstrations taking place.

Self defence sessions were held Monday & Tuesday this week. We were given a demonstration and taught to do some simple moves on how to protect ourselves if getting in a stressful situation. Both sessions were well attended and well done to all who came.
Katja is so professional in her teaching and explaining simple techniques that no matter what age you are everyone can do.I hope you all got something from these sessions and if you have any feedback we would appreciate hearing from you.
