Dog Fouling. Please Pick Up After Your Dog šŸ•
We’ve had reports of repeated dog fouling in Lindford, particularly along Chase Road.

We kindly ask all dog owners to please pick up after their dogs and dispose of the waste responsibly. Our Chair, Ron Ruttle, kindly picked up 5 piles yesterday, but nobody should have to deal with someone else’s dog mess.

Please help us keep Lindford clean and pleasant for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.

From EHDC- Caddy distribution starts this week!

"Caddy packs will begin being distributed across the district this week. We expect this process to take six weeks and be completed before the service launches.

You may not receive your caddies until the last week of September. However, if your neighbours have had their caddies but you haven’t, please complete a general enquiry through MyEHDC and choose food waste.

Don’t start using your caddies until the week of your first collection.

What to do with your food waste caddies

So, your food waste caddy pack has been delivered. What now?

The small caddy is for your kitchen; the big one is for outside and is the one that will be emptied by our crews.

Step 1 – take out the instruction leaflet and stickers
Step 2 – look through the instruction leaflet – it’s got information about the service and how it will work
Step 3 – attach the large day-glo sticker to your outdoor caddy. Make sure the surface is clean and dry before applying it, then smooth the sticker down to prevent any bubbles forming underneath
Step 4 – write your house number or name on the bottom of the sticker using a permanent marker, so it’s easy to identify and doesn’t get mixed up with your neighbours'
Step 5 – put the smaller ā€˜what can go in your kitchen caddy’ sticker on your kitchen caddy
Step 6 – put the ā€˜no food waste please’ sticker on your refuse (green) bin as a reminder to keep recycling your food waste
Step 7 – DON’T START USING YOUR CADDY YET!
You’ll be able to find out your collection day through MyEHDC from late September.

If you live in a flat, you’ll receive a kitchen caddy, instruction leaflet and sticker and access to a shared food waste bin in your bin store. All you need to do is have a look at the instruction leaflet and put the sticker on your kitchen caddy."

šŸ”Ø Chase Farm Playground maintenance! 🌳

We just wanted to let residents know that we’ve had a couple of wooden slats break on some of the equipment at the new Chase Farm play area.

We’ve been in touch with the playground company and they are aware of the issues. They will be coming out to inspect the equipment and replace the affected pieces.

As the playground is still very new, we’re obviously disappointed to have had a few teething problems but these things can happen with natural timber.

The safety of children using the park is our top priority, so please bear with us while the necessary repairs are carried out. A few areas of the playground are currently taped off and we would appreciate you asking your children not to use these areas at the moment.

Thank you for your understanding and hopefully we can get the little bits of maintenance sorted quickly so everyone can get back to enjoying the park!

As the warm weather continues, it's important to stay safe in the sun ā˜€ļø

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has shared some useful advice on how to protect yourself, your family and your property during periods of hot weather.

Their top tips include staying hydrated, protecting yourself from the sun and reducing the risk of accidental fires caused by BBQs, disposable barbecues and discarded smoking materials.

You can read their full guidance here:
