Following on from our last post about our exciting news that we have a new home in Bordon for our Y+ Youth Hub, opening in September, we wanted to thank David and the team at Topfloor for supporting us by donating floor tiles for our new hub.
It’s an incredibly generous donation and we can’t thank them enough.

We’ve got a few more things we’re looking for, so if you’ve got anything in the list below that’s in good working order, and you’re looking to get rid of, we’re looking for it!

We’re really excited about our new youth hub location opening in September. Having a dedicated space allows us to do more for young people across the area, and we’ve got some exciting plans for the future.

There’s still plenty to do before we open up, and we’re proposing the following youth hub term time opening times…

🕒 Tuesdays - 3pm - 6pm -Years 6 & 7 (10-12 years of age)
🕒 Wednesdays - 3pm - 6pm - Years 7 - 11 (11 to 16 years of age)
🕒 Thursdays - 3pm - 6pm - Years 7 - 11 (11 to 16 years of age)
🕒 Fridays - 3pm to 6pm - Years 11,12 & 13 (15 to 18 years of age)

We’d love to know when young people are coming to see us (and to make sure we’re maximising opportunities for people to attend), so let us know in the comments 👇 when your young person/you would want to attend, and drop us a comment with any thoughts and ideas 💭

The space will be open for other organisations to use, so if you’ve got a group, session or class you’d like to run, or you’re looking for a new home in Bordon for a session you already run, get in touch - [email protected]

We had a great time at Cafe 1759 delivering our Y+ Food Lab session today.

Thanks to everyone who came along and experimented with food! From making ice cream (lots of shaking required) to using magnets to move breakfast cereal, it was great fun to have so many people come along and get involved.

Next week we keep the experiments going when we get scientific next Thursday.

We had a great time at Wild Wood in Guildford yesterday.

Plenty of resilience from many of the young people, tackling their fear of heights and giving it a go!

Favourite quote from a young person was when they went down the zip line screaming loudly then shouted ‘this is really fun!’

🚨 EXCITING Y+ YOUTH HUB UPDATE 🚨

Many of you know our bid for the Future Skills Centre wasn't successful, but we haven't stopped working to find a new location for young people in Whitehill & Bordon to meet, socialise, access support, training, education and more.

We're very excited to announce that we'll soon be opening a new Y+ Youth Hub location in Bordon.

Loads of fun at today’s Pompey Gladiators session.

Plenty of running about for our contenders as they took on the Y+ Gladiators in a range of events.

And the Gladiators had loads of fun too!

We had a fantastic day out in West Wittering today.

Swimming, ice creams and a picnic lunch. A great day!

We had great fun on Friday delivering our Gladiators session to young people in Rogate.

Lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of running and jumping and hopefully a bunch of young people who’ll sleep well tonight!
