After an earlier start and despite the intense heat, we managed to clear one part of the sensory garden border.

We then moved on to the balsam along the River Croal when LifeBridge arrived and we also had a new volunteer who joined us for the first time today.

Thankfully it was a little cooler under the tree canopy and we managed to create some significant piles of balsam 😊
Thanks to everyone for all your hard work today 🥰

We want to hear from you!
At our event on 23 May, we launched a visitor survey to find out what you think about the park and how it can continue to be enjoyed by everyone.
The survey will run until 22nd August, and we’d love as many people as possible to share their views. Please download the attached survey and email it to [email protected], or drop it off at the Pavilion Café in the park.
If you’d like a copy sent to you, just email us and we’ll be happy to help. You can also find a copy of the survey in the Pavilion Café and you can leave it with the café staff once completed.
Thank you for helping us to shape the future of our park!

It was lovely to see some of the children from todays session proudly wearing the bee hats and showing off the bee houses and 3d models that they made 🐝
We also had a few plants returned and planted in the sensory garden. We hope that the plants that stayed at home are now flowering beautifully in family gardens and bringing joy to the children who grew them from seeds 🌻😍

What a fantastic networking day we had at Bridge Church, meeting so many brilliant groups from across the community!

We were absolutely delighted to receive an owl nesting box for the park, kindly donated by Chris at Bolton NEWT🦉

We also held a small raffle and raised some much-appreciated funds to support our future planned activities, helping us keep these sessions free for everyone who attends. Thank you to everyone who supported us!

🏫 Could your School Benefit from Extra Support for Families?

Raksha, our Schools Project Worker, is looking to connect with 4 new schools.

She currently works with a number of local schools, providing weekly appointments that help families access essential household items, including beds, furniture, and other practical support.

If your school would like to find out more about how we can support families in your community, Raksha would love to hear from you.

It was great to have LifeBridge back working with us this week to help tackle the weeds. Good to have Clare back also now her toe has healed.

It was very hot on the sensory garden though, and that impeded our progress, however we did manage to clear some of the borders and could at last see where we had planted some of the plants 🪴
