Saturday volunteers needed.

Have you always wanted your own hens but don't have the space? Do you love birds, chickens & ducks? 🐔🦆 (they all have their own funny characters, you'll get to know them all by name 🥰 & they will love you.
* Are you free at sunset on weekdays or weekends, in the evenings over summer & late afternoons over winter? Just 20-40 minutes per day. A regular day on a rota or help with cover.
If so we have volunteering opportunities with our rescue birds for those local to the sanctuary (in or close to Tottington ideally).
Our poultry lead & other volunteers can provide training & shadowing until you're confident, you just need sensible shoes, preferably wellies, gloves & a torch.

He's been on Britain's got talent!!, bbc , itv and Channel 5, ...

He's touring the UK this year as a support and with his own show.

He's been in pantomimes - snow White and the little mermaid, appeared at Newcastle comedy fest & Edinburgh Fringe.

And now, hes heard all about us at PET IN NEED!

I'm exciting to be here today at Pets at Home Prestwich fundraising for Pets in Need 🐾
We’re raising funds for our rescue cats and kittens, and we’re also asking kind shoppers if they’d like to add an item to their shopping list to help support the animals in our care. Every donation, no matter how small, makes such a difference 💛
I’ve absolutely loved meeting so many lovely people today and hearing how passionate you all are about animals and the work we do. It’s such an honour to volunteer for a rescue that helps so many deserving cats and kittens find safety, love, and forever homes.

Meet maintenance man Mickey!

AGE: 39
FROM: Yorkshire
FAVOURITE COLOUR: Blue
HOBBIES: Camping, caravaning, eating, vintage cars, fundraising, golf, fishing and fixing things.

From mending fences to repairing wheelbarrows held together by hope and zip ties, he helps keeps this sanctuary running for the animals.

The animals think he’s wonderful. The tools fear him. The duct tape industry loves him.

But poor Mickey can’t do it alone… mainly because we’re starting to worry he’s becoming part tractor. 😅

We’d LOVE more handy volunteers like Mickey to join the team — if you can fix, build, paint, hammer, or even just hold the tea while pretending to supervise, we need you! ☕🔧
