It’s SUCH an exciting time here at NE Youth with the countdown coinciding with starting on Monday ✨
A week dedicated to celebrating our fantastic youth sector, the incredible work happening across our region, and the people who make a real difference in the lives of young people every day!

We can’t wait to bring everyone together next Wednesday to recognise, celebrate and shine a spotlight on the amazing impact of youth work across our region.

Last week we held our membership networking meeting at The ONE centre OUT North East

As our members have the opportunity to nominate young people, youth workers and volunteers for an award at the NE Youth Impact Awards, we wanted to find out more about why they choose to nominate and why they believe these awards are so important. It was great to hear their thoughts on recognising the achievements of people they nominated across the North East!

What a trip!!🧗‍♂️🌿⛺️

Last week, the new Trailblazers went on a residential to Broomley Grange Outdoor Activity Centre to come together as a team and get to know each other.

They’re such a brilliant group of young people and you can tell from the photos above how much they already have made such great friends with each other! They got stuck in and took part like the incredible team they are🤩

They took part in some fantastic activities throughout the weekend including high rope activities such as Jacob’s Ladder, tree climbing, crate stacking and an assault course. There were also problem solving games, campfires and exploring the tunnels around the grounds!

Calling young activists, changemakers, and allies across Newcastle passionate about carving out safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ young people!📣📣

Join us for a creative hack exploring how we can build stronger, more inclusive communities where LGBTQIA+ young people feel safe, supported and free to be themselves🌿🫶

This is a space for young people up to age 25 to connect, share experiences, think creatively and turn ideas into action. Using zine-making and creative activism, we’ll explore the challenges LGBTQIA+ young people face and co-create solutions that can make a real difference in our communities.

🍕 Food will be provided to fuel your creativity!
