PATHHEAD WATERMILL TRUST

SUNDAY 7th JUNE

If anyone has an interest in cars we will have some beautiful classic cars on site this Sunday. They will be meeting on site at around 10.30am before they set off on their rally.

Visitors will still be able to park on site or on the lane leading down to the Mill. There is also parking available opposite the entrance to the Mill.

Our usual activities for our younger visitors will still be available and there will be plenty of gorgeous home baked treats for everyone.

TEA ROOM UPDATE

Thank you again to all of our lovely visitors who support us. It is a pleasure to welcome you all to our Tea Room every weekend.
Commencing Saturday 6th June we are extending our opening hours. New opening times are:

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY - 10.30am - 3pm
LAST FOOD ORDERS AT 2.30pm

We are aware that some external social media sites do not have the correct information regarding opening times etc. Unfortunately this is out of our control and we would advise customers to check our official social media sites. All information on our Facebook, Instagram and Website is updated regularly and all information is correct.

Come along and enjoy some delicious home baking while you take in the beauty of the grounds.

Don't forget gates to the site are locked when our volunteers leave for the day.

It is so lovely to see all of our visitors to the Tea Room every week.

Whilst we update our social media sites regularly and all information on these is current ie Tea Room opening times, contact numbers and up coming events, we have been informed by visitors that some external sites show old information. We are sorry for any misunderstanding or inconvenience this has caused and would advise prospective visitors to check with either of our official sites for the correct information. This can be found on our Facebook or Instagram pages or on our official website.

We endeavour to post any changes well in advance. Obviously emergencies are slightly different but again we would always get information out as soon as possible.

Once again sorry for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

PATHHEAD WATERMILL TRUST

Here at Pathhead Watermill we offer a tranquil spot to sit and relax with a cuppa and some delicious home baked goodies from our Mill Race Tea Room.
We have a large outdoor seating area and plenty of places to sit around the grounds. Feel free to wander and take in the beauty and heritage of the site. Or why not take a tour of the workshop.

For our younger visitors we have our bug hunt and scavenger hunt, parents are welcome to join in the fun and will even get a reward at the end.

We have on site parking and visitors can park on the lane leading to the grounds. There is additional parking available opposite the entrance to the Mill.
We do have designated disabled parking on site.
Our Tea Room and rest rooms are suitable for wheelchair access and those needing disabled facilities.

It is always lovely to see our regular visitors and we have had so many new visitators' already this year. Your continued support is very much appreciated thankyou.

If you've not visited yet why not come along and see us, you will be warmly welcomed by all of our volunteers.

On Sunday 7th June we will have some beautiful vintage cars joining us as they set off on their rally. We are expecting them on site around 10.30am if this is something you would be interested in seeing.

The Tea Room may be busier than usual but we will make sure there are plenty of gorgeous home baked treats to go around.

Visitors will still be able to park in the car park or on the road leading down to the grounds. There is also parking available opposite the entrance to the Mill.

PATHHEAD WATERMILL TRUST

It was lovely seeing so many of you enjoying our lovely site at the weekend and thank you to all of our Tea Room customers for your continued support.

We just wanted to let you all know about our events that we have planned for the season.

SUNDAY 7th JUNE - we have some Vintage cars calling in as they take part in their rally.
SUNDAY 28th JUNE - Mariza will be hosting our second Yoga event.
SUNDAY 26th JULY - Another Yoga Event with Mariza.
SATURDAY 22nd AUGUST - come and join us for our annual classic car show.
SUNDAY 30th AUGUST - Mariza will be on site again for our 4th Yoga event of the year.
SATURDAY 5th SEPTEMBER - bring your fur babies along to our second doggy fun day.

We will also have another couple of quizzes, dates to follow and of course Santa and his elves will be visiting us again later in the year.

PATHHEAD WATERMILL TRUST

Thank you to everyone who came long to our Quiz Night last week, once again it was a roaring success. Our Quiz Masters did an amazing job as did our lovely Cakey Ladies in the Tea Room. We really do appreciate all the support everyone gives us with our events. We have some exciting projects planned this year and all funds raised go towards these.

It was lovely to see all of our Yoga ladies on Sunday, thank you to Mariza for organising and delivering the session. There are more to follow watch out on here for dates.

The weather was mixed over the weekend but we still had lots of visitors, we also welcomed a new volunteer to the Tea Room, who can I say just slotted into the team seamlessly, I know you`re all going to love him.

Thank you to everyone who visited us last weekend. Both the Brick Swap on Saturday and the Motor Cycle Group on Sunday were a great success. It was great seeing so many people enjoying our grounds and Tea Room.
Sadly I was too busy to take any photos but if any one has any it would be lovely to see them.

Thank you to everyone for waiting patiently for orders and for all of your lovely comments and compliments. It makes all the work worthwhile

PATHHEAD WATERMILL TRUST

VOLUNTERS REQUIRED

Pathhead Watermill Trust is a charitable organisation based at Pathhead Watermill in Blaydon. We rely solely on Volunteers to manage all the jobs involved in maintaining the site.

We are looking to recruit more volunteers to our existing team. We have a range of opportunities in our grounds, allotments, workshop and tea room. We don't ask our volunteers to commit to a set number of days/hours. Whatever time you can spare we would be happy to have you in our team.

The site is open Tuesdays and Thursdays when our existing volunteers look after the grounds and allotments. We have volunteers who work in the workshop and help maintain the tea room and other buildings on site.

The tea room is open Saturday and Sunday 10.30 till 2.30, but again this does not have to be for a full day, any time you have is valuable to us. If serving customers is not something you would feel comfortable with but you would be happy taking orders out, collecting trays in or washing dishes it would be greatly appreciated.

We are a very friendly bunch of like minded people who are willing to help to maintain the site and keep it open for members of the public to enjoy.

If you've not visited us yet, why not pop along and see us. We are a beautiful rural setting in an urban area where you can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity we have to offer.

If volunteering is something you would be interested in you can speak to someone on site Tuesday, Thursday or at the weekend who will be happy to show you round and give you more information.
