A little Hollywood glamour for a very special cause! ✨🎬💜

A HUGE thank you to nawic_ne North East and Tees Valley for choosing Feeding Families as the beneficiary charity of their spectacular Hollywood Glamour Ball!

What an absolutely incredible evening! From the atmosphere and entertainment to the people in the room, everything was just fantastic! Rachel Jane Lister & Ruth certainly weren’t complaining about having an excuse to get all dressed up in Hollywood glam! 💃🏼✨

It was such a privilege to represent Feeding Families, share a little about the work we do and, most importantly, why the support of organisations like NAWIC means so much to the families and communities we support.

We can’t wait to share the final fundraising total, but for now, just a massive thank you to everyone who organised, attended, donated and made the evening so special.

💜 GOOD FOOD IN EVERY POSTCODE.

Today is World Food Day, and this week, our CEO Wayne Dobson was invited to Westminster for the launch of Good Food in Every Postcode, a landmark report from the Affordable Food Alliance.

The report brings together evidence from across the UK, demonstrating the vital role affordable food clubs can play in tackling food insecurity, strengthening communities and helping families build a more financially resilient future.

And the findings speak for themselves.

💜 75% of people surveyed feel less worried or stressed about accessing food.

💜 72% can now afford more balanced meals.

💜 74% have accessed additional advice or support through their affordable food club.

For us at Feeding Families, this conversation is incredibly important.

Because while providing food to someone experiencing hardship matters enormously, we also recognise that food alone isn’t always the answer.

It’s about understanding the challenges families face, connecting people with support and working towards a future where fewer people need emergency food provision in the first place.

More than food, a way forward.

We’re incredibly pleased to see this conversation taking place at a national level and grateful to the Affordable Food Alliance for inviting Wayne to be part of the launch.

Today we welcome a fantastic team of volunteers from Sage, alongside one of our regular volunteers who used to work there and has come “out of retirement” to volunteer with his friends for the day!

We're officially launching our Christmas Appeal on Tuesday 3rd November at 8:30am, and we'd love you to join us!

Then, from 1st–8th December, we're taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge, with an ambitious target to raise £200,000 in just ONE WEEK!
