This is the current situation in Calais as Blandford CARES sends its fourth consignment of aid to CV4C tomorrow with Jon. We could not have filled our van without Wells Refugee Aid's help. We have the drivers but not enough suitable aid coming in to do more. Winter is here, a daunting prospect for a cold, wet, rough sleeping refugee in Calais. What do we need? Just imagine you are that person. What would you most want? Coat, tent, dry shoes, gloves, hat, or just something to make you feel better - toothbrush, clean underwear, dry socks or a warm drink.
We care about Gaza and other dire conflict situations where it is difficult/impossible for anyone to deliver any help at this time, but in Calais and Ukraine we can and do make a difference.

We asked - and you delivered! Huge thank you to the volunteers who responded to our call and came out to Northern France last weekend at short notice. You were amazing!
The support enabled us to distribute over 350 hoodies on Saturday, and to visit sites in both Calais and Dunkirk on Sunday. The team provided hot drinks, phone charging and important social support to those facing the harsh Calais winter.
We always need volunteers in Calais to help run our operations - whether new volunteers or returning volunteers - we couldn’t do this without you!
If you have a car to take other people over that's a huge help, but there are many ways to join us, so drop us a line.
