Bleckly Clarke Lodge 8290 - Blandford Forum

Bleckly Clarke Lodge 8290 - Blandford Forum The Official page of one of the two Craft Freemasonry Lodges who meet in Blandford Forum, Dorset. Warranted 30 Apr 69, Consecrated 9 Jul 69.

Freemasonry in Dorset can trace its history as far back as 1736 to the creation of a lodge in Weymouth, although our own Lodge (Bleckly Clarke) was formed in 1969. The Masonic Province of Dorset was established in 1780. Dorset Freemasonry has flourished since then and we are just one of the forty-nine Lodges meeting at eighteen centres across our beautiful county. Dorset is just one of 47 Masonic

"Provinces" under the authority of the United Grand Lodge of England. Our Provincial membership consists of close to 3000 men from all ethnic, cultural and social backgrounds, regularly meeting in harmony and friendship. We share a common bond from the unique experience of being “made Masons”. As Freemasons we are encouraged to observe moral and spiritual guidelines and to gain a greater knowledge and understanding of ourselves as upright and respectable citizens.

Important Message

On Saturday 14th March I have arranged a PSA testing event at Blandford Masonic Hall in Blandford. This is NOT a cancer test, it is a test to see the volume of Antigens in your blood which are produced by your prostate. As we all know men bury their heads in the sand when it comes to their health and wellbeing. There is NO routine testing for us men unlike women who have breast and cervical smear tests. We only get tested by the doctor when we have problems when it might be too late. So let’s pre empt that visit to the docs and get tested sooner. The test usually costs between £30 and £45. The prostate charity PCaSO have arranged these tests for £15 a small amount to pay for our health. This is supported by Dorset Freemasonry. It is a blood sample taken and sent to the hospital for testing and results are received within 3-5 days. Book in if not for you for your families. Thank you for reading just now book in and I’ll see you down there. It’s for men between 50 and 79.
Don’t miss out please share.

Check out the website select the date and book in.

Last year, Duane chose to support Julia's House, a truly amazing local charity. This was in addition to supporting the Dorset Freemasonry Charity festival, a 5 year festival where he made significant contributions to the £30k + donated over the past 5 years to the Masonic Charitable Foundation. Well Done Duane, an amazing achievement to an amazing charity
