Advice please!

Our hay looks ready to cut and we have a heatwave coming next week. Are others cutting now and hoping for a second cut or are we getting over excited?

We recently received some feedback from a military veteran that we worked with behind the wire. He worked with Texas for the most part during the programme. Tex is a horse that has always humbled me with his presence, wisdom and huge heart, and when I read these words about how he made such a difference, it brought me to tears.

“When I first arrived, I was completely shut down. I initially refused to even step into the pen with the horse; the hypervigilance and walls I had built up made the situation feel completely overwhelming. But Sarah didn't push or judge. Through her quiet patience and guidance, I eventually found the courage to step inside.

Over the sessions, a close relationship and an undeniable bond were fostered between me and the horse. That non-verbal connection changed everything. The massive growth in my confidence finally enabled me to take off the 'survival mask' I had worn for years just to get through the day. For the first time, I felt safe enough to stop hiding and really start to address my past trauma and underlying issues with genuine confidence and honesty."

The four legged team relaxing before the storms this afternoon; while the two legged team spent the morning with military veterans at HMP Guys Marsh. We are hoping to be able to raise enough funding to run another five day programme behind the wire later this year.

Oh my goodness! A huge thank you to everyone that nominated us.
