North Dorset Triathlon Club North Dorset Triathlon Club is based in Blandford Forum and all standards are welcome – Novice to Ironman.

The club members have valuable experience that they are able to share to help you realise whatever goals you have set yourself. The club runs training session that are matched to all abilities and has useful links to Open Water Swimming, Cycling and Running clubs in the area. All members are encouraged to train to their targets, abilities and goals. If you are interested then please contact us via

our email address. Join the club and have access to the Facebook Group where the details of Swim, Run and Cycle sessions are shared. So if you want to start your triathlon journey, continue or extend an existing journey then this is a club with a friendly atmosphere that can help.

Hi all - just a reminder to all that want to take part in the clubs activities please join the club before you join a club session. There is a free trail option so new members can try before you join.

This is for two reasons :

1. Club Insurance requires that the people who take part in club activities are members of the club.

2. In the event of an accident we need you emergency contact details.

Whilst we try to reduce the risks we are often on public highways with other users and the road and weather conditions can be variable.

Ok - it has been a while since the last post and a lot has happened since then. We are getting back to some normality now so want to bring people attention back to the club.

The members have a private members page where all the activities and opportunities are posted.

If you would like to try it out or join in, then please contact the club.

This year we have lots of swim session and track cycling sessions planned as well as running and cycling groups. We may also arrange a few open water swim session if the demand is there.

We are trying to cater for all levels so please let us know what your aims are and the coaches can help.

Following the publication of World Triathlon’s rules in January, British Triathlon have today published the rules which will regulate and promote safe and fair domestic participation in the sport.

If you want to race at Bournemouth this year (or another event) and can spare some time on a Sunday at the end of August then this could work for you.

We are encouraged to hear the UK Government’s plan for easing lockdown in England and signalling that sport could return from the end of March. Our teams will be working hard to ensure we have clear and robust guidance across every aspect of our sport.
