Dorset Youth Symphony Orchestra Dorset Youth Symphony Orchestra is an orchestral playing experience for young musicians in Dorset fo I know it’s a cliché, but just go for it.

Dorset Music Service welcomes students of all ages for fun coaching sessions with professional musicians. Dorset Music Service work with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and is part-funded by Arts Council England. Rehearsals take place on Sundays at the Blandford School, Blandford Forum. This season the Dorset Music Service is excited to welcome Will Goodchild as conductor of the Dorset Youth Sy

mphony Orchestra. Will is a highly experienced and acclaimed conductor, working with the BBC Concert Orchestra, Bristol Symphony Orchestra and Bristol Ensemble to name but a few. What the young musicians say:
“Experience like no other!” – Noah Cheeseman
Noah Cheeseman has been playing his violin since he was eight, and is now approaching the end of sixth form. “I’ve played at the Royal Albert Hall, BIC and Poole Lighthouse, as well as joining some brilliant residentials. Being a member of such a vibrant, friendly and skilled orchestra is special enough, but the social side is really great too. The friends I have gained are very special, and we’ve memories that will last forever. The experiences you’ll have are like no other.”
