North Blackpool Pond Trail

North Blackpool Pond Trail The Pond Trail started life as a Natural England project part of their 'Access to Nature' programme.

On North Blackpool Pond Trail, we aim to encourage people to 'Access Nature' within their local environment and volunteer to help the up keep, for wildlife as well as people. Now Groundwork CLM work with volunteers on the up keep and improvements for wildlife as well as people.

It was brilliant to see so many volunteers, including students from Bispham Campus, helping out on site.

Plant and bat surveys were carried out, alongside biodiversity monitoring, all of which will feed into the management plans and help improve wildlife across the trail ๐Ÿฆ๐ŸŒผ.

A big thank you to Enveco Blackpool for collecting the rubbish after the litter pick, Parks for lending equipment and everyone who got involved. Great work all round ๐Ÿ‘
