👶❤️ Every Baby Deserves the Best Start in Life ❤️👶

At Helping Hearts Fylde, one of the most important parts of our work is supporting local families through our Baby Bank.

Every week we help parents access essentials such as:

🍼 Infant formula
👶 Nappies
🥣 Baby food
👕 Baby clothing
🧸 Baby essentials

Being a parent is challenging enough without having to worry about how you're going to afford the basics.

Whilst we will always advocate that breastfeeding is best, we understand that breastfeeding is not possible for every mum and every family. Parents should never feel judged for how they choose, or need, to feed their baby.

Sadly, with the rising cost of living and the increasing price of infant formula, some parents have felt forced to make difficult choices. We have heard of families trying to make formula last longer by adding non-nutritional foods or using unsafe feeding practices, simply because they are struggling to afford enough formula.

This is one of the reasons why Helping Hearts Fylde is proud to be a registered Baby Bank. We don't just provide essential baby items; we also provide information, guidance and education to help families make informed choices.

💡 Did you know?

All Stage 1 infant formulas sold in the UK, regardless of price, must meet the same strict legal standards for ingredients and nutritional content.

This means that the most expensive branded formula and the cheapest supermarket own-brand formula must provide the same nutritional quality by law.

We believe that no parent should have to choose between feeding their baby and paying other household bills.

That's why we're committed to ensuring families across the Fylde Coast can access support without judgement, stigma or complicated referral processes. ❤️

Sometimes a single tin of formula, a packet of nappies or a bag of baby clothes can make all the difference to a family's week.

If you would like to support our Baby Bank, donations can be dropped off at any of our community collection points or purchased through our Amazon Wishlist. 🌟

❤️A fabulous, friendly and welcoming Thursday evening with our great friends and wonderful volunteers❤️

Our earlier session took place from 3:30pm till 5:30pm with our lovely families and over 60’s, everyone sat and had friendly chats 🤩 and enjoyed a spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread with thanks to our awesome volunteer Jenny 🫶

We then had our evening session from 6:15 pm which is open to all where our clients enjoyed a beef ragu which was donated and cooked by our great friends at The Glendower Hotel 🤍 thank you 🥰

As always, freshly made sandwiches with a variety of delicious fillings made weekly by our amazing volunteers 🥪 🙏 thank you 🤩

Thursday has arrived once again!

Every Thursday, we are honoured to welcome individuals and families in need from the vibrant communities of Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre.

✅ 3:30pm – 5:30pm (families and over 60’s only)
A calm, relaxed session dedicated to families and those aged 60+, offering a warm, welcoming environment for those who may benefit from a quieter service.

✅ 6:15pm – 7:30pm
Our evening session continues as usual and is open to everyone. Families and those over 60 are still very welcome to attend this session if they prefer.

Tonight, our dedicated and compassionate volunteers will be ready to lend a helping hand, offering a range of valuable services:
❤️ A warm, freshly prepared hot meal to nourish both body and spirit
❤️ A well-stocked food bank, ensuring those in need have access
❤️ A baby bank with essential items for infants and young children
❤️ A pet food bank to support your furry companions
❤️ Clothing for rough sleepers and children, providing comfort and dignity
❤️ Toiletries to support personal hygiene and well-being
❤️ A variety of hot and cold beverages
❤️ Specialised supplies for rough sleepers
❤️ Sanitary and hygiene products
❤️ Access to hot showers and fluffy towels
🤗 A welcoming atmosphere with friendly faces and compassionate support

We are wholeheartedly committed to supporting all families and individuals within the Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre boroughs. No referral is needed — our doors are open year-round.

🍽️ Did You Know? Every Hot Meal Starts With a Community Coming Together 🍽️

Every Thursday, Helping Hearts Fylde provides fresh hot meals to people across our community. ❤️

But did you know that every meal starts long before it reaches someone's plate?

It starts with local restaurants, hotels and businesses generously donating ingredients and food.

It starts with caring people adding an extra item to their shopping basket.

It starts with volunteers giving up their time to help others.

And it starts with a community that truly cares. ❤️

Each Thursday, our volunteers prepare and cook fresh food in-house during our Family Session, ensuring that those who attend can enjoy a warm, nutritious meal in a welcoming environment.

Behind the scenes, our amazing volunteers also spend hours preparing over 200 sandwiches every week, helping us provide additional food support to those who need it most. 🥪❤️

For many people who attend our Thursday sessions, a hot meal is about much more than food.

It's a chance to sit down, chat with others, feel part of a community and know that someone cares.

At Helping Hearts Fylde, we believe nobody should have to face hardship alone, and something as simple as a freshly cooked meal can make a huge difference to someone's day. 🌟

A huge thank you to our local restaurants, hotels, businesses, donors and volunteers who make this possible week after week. Your kindness helps us continue supporting hundreds of people across the Fylde Coast.

👔❤️ Happy Father's Day ❤️👔

Today, we want to wish a very Happy Father's Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandads, foster dads, father figures and the incredible men who play such an important role in the lives of children and families across our community. ❤️

At Helping Hearts Fylde, we see every week the sacrifices that parents make to ensure their families have what they need.

We see dads working long hours to provide for their families.

We see fathers putting their children's needs before their own.

We see grandads helping raise grandchildren.

We see father figures offering guidance, support and a shoulder to lean on when it's needed most. ❤️

Being a dad isn't always easy, and we know that many fathers quietly carry the weight of providing, protecting and supporting their families, often without recognition.

Today is a chance to celebrate all of you. 🌟

We also know that Father's Day can be difficult for some. Whether you're remembering a loved one, missing someone special, or finding today a little harder than most, please know that you're in our thoughts. ❤️

🎓🌟 Congratulations to Everyone Who Has Finished Their GCSEs! 🌟🎓

A huge congratulations to all the young people in our community and beyond who have now finished their GCSE exams! ❤️

We know just how stressful the last few months have been. The revision, the coursework, the early mornings, the late nights and the pressure that comes with preparing for exams can feel overwhelming at times.

But today, take a moment to be proud of yourselves. ❤️

No matter what results day brings, what matters most is that you showed up, worked hard and gave it your best effort.

That is something nobody can ever take away from you. 🌟

At Helping Hearts Fylde, we've seen first-hand how resilient, determined and inspiring young people can be, and we're incredibly proud of every single one of you.

💡❤️ Did You Know? Helping Hearts Fylde Is Open Every Single Week of the Year ❤️💡

Many people are surprised to learn that Helping Hearts Fylde operates every single Thursday throughout the year, supporting hundreds of local people when they need us most.

Whether it's the middle of winter when heating bills are soaring ❄️, the summer holidays when family budgets are stretched ☀️, or anywhere in between, our volunteers are here week after week providing support without judgement.

Every Thursday we offer:

🛒 Food and household essentials
👶 Baby Bank support
🐾 Blue Cross registered Pet Bank
👕 Clothing and footwear
🍲 Hot meals
💬 Signposting and support
❤️ A warm welcome and a listening ear

We are proud to be a completely non-referral service, meaning anyone who needs support can access our services directly.

That's only possible because of the incredible support we receive from our volunteers, donors, community partners and supporters. ❤️

⚽❤️ A Huge Thank You to Blackpool FC Uniformed Services ❤️⚽

Last Thursday, on what can only be described as a very wet and windy afternoon 🌧️☔, our Vice Chair Jo Kember had the pleasure of attending the Blackpool FC Uniformed Services match on behalf of Helping Hearts Fylde.

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to all those who attended and supported the evening. ❤️

We're also absolutely delighted to share that they have smashed their fundraising target of £1,000 for Helping Hearts Fylde! 🎉 This is a fantastic achievement and one we are incredibly grateful for. Every penny raised will help us continue supporting local families, pensioners, rough sleepers and individuals across the Fylde Coast.

Community events like this do so much more than bring people together; they help raise vital funds that directly support local people facing hardship across the Fylde Coast.

At Helping Hearts Fylde, every donation we receive goes towards helping families, pensioners, rough sleepers and individuals access food, clothing, baby essentials, pet food and the wrap-around support we're proud to offer every Thursday. ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to have been chosen as one of the beneficiaries and cannot thank everyone involved enough for their support and generosity.
