Something that our young volunteers wanted to bring in to raise some funds to go towards the work that we do was some FKF merch, and they wanted to get stuck in themselves with creating the items!

Young volunteer Evie has been working on some tote bags today and they've turned out beautifully!

Our young volunteers are so valued round here, they bring fresh ideas, enthusiasm and give us older ones a bit of a clue what the kids are into these days 🫶🏻

❄️WINTER WEAR DRIVE❄️

The colder days are approaching, that’s why here at the Fylde Kids Foundation we want to see no child in the Fylde coast go without!

We are collecting good quality coats for children and young people, we will then distribute them across the Fylde coast to families who need a little extra help.

If your child has a coat that they have outgrown, or just sitting in the wardrobe unused that you no longer need. We ask you to please consider donating it, your child’s old coat could really make a difference.

Current drop off points 👇
* St Anne’s - Fylde Kids Foundation Donation Centre
* South Shore - Right Track Care Agency
* Fleetwood - Bedding With Kate
* Bispham - Melissa Hair Studio
* Marton Institute
* Knott End Cafe
* St Anne’s Cricket Club

We are looking for business, community groups or individuals who are willing to become a collection points in:
* Poulton
* Bispham
* Cleveleys
* Thornton
* Other areas of Blackpool

We also accept good quality hats, scarves and gloves.

A small donation could make sure a child stays warm this winter.

Thank you 💛

Have you got your nominations for the FCCAs in yet?
Some questions have been answered here incase you were wondering how some things work

We’ve had lots of questions about how our awards work, so here's a few answers!

NOMINATIONS
Nominations are open until 25th September. You can nominate once per category.
Being nominated does not mean they’re through. The 6 nominees with the most nominations make the Final 6, so please nominate your faves, they're counting on you!
Cheating or manipulating nominations will be picked up, so please don't.

THE PUBLIC VOTE
The Final Six are announced, everything resets so everyone starts on an even foot and the public vote for the Public Choice Winner.

JUDGE’S CHOICE
New this year! The Judge’s Choice is based on the reasons behind nominations. So tell us what they’ve done and why they deserve recognition.

A FEW FAQs
Can I nominate myself?
Of course! Big yourself up!

Can I nominate someone I know?
Yes! recognising people and businesses you believe make a difference is what it's all about.

Does knowing someone from Fylde Coast Community Events or Fylde Kids Foundation give them an advantage?
Nope. Nobody is favoured because we know them, work with them or are friends.

Can Fylde Kids Foundation volunteers be nominated?
Yes. All can be nominated except Sammi & Phil. They help on the night but don't plan or decide the awards. They have lives outside volunteering and deserve to be recognised for their achievements too.

Can anyone involved in planning the awards be nominated?
No. Anybody involved in planning cannot take part to avoid conflicts of interest.

Will you exclude someone because somebody doesn't like them?
No. We will never exclude someone simply because of another person's dislike, opinion or disagreement. Genuine serious concerns can be raised, but we have to be careful and we cannot act on unverified claims or treat allegations as fact.

We also reserve the right not to include someone where there are serious concerns around conduct or reputation, including safeguarding concerns, abuse, violence, exploitation, fraud, harassment or other serious behaviour that could damage the awards.

The public decide. Nobody gets an advantage because we know them, and nobody gets excluded because someone doesn't like them.

So go get nominating and have fun with it!

Just a little ask from us

If you are looking for support from Fylde Kids Foundation, please contact us through our official channels rather than contacting our trustees or volunteers on their personal accounts.

Our trustees and volunteers have kindly given their time to Fylde Kids Foundation, but they also deserve to have their own private lives outside of the charity.

Naturally, you may see our volunteers or trustees tagged by their own friends when they see something that they think could help someone. This does not mean that you can add them or message them personally.

Please respect their privacy and boundaries. Thank you.

💛🖤International Day of Charity🖤💛

Today is International Day of Charity, and we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to every single person that supports us.

In many ways, we are simply the middlemen. The people who donate to Fylde Kids Foundation are the people making the real difference. Without you donating clothing, toys, money, equipment and so much more, just because you want to help children and families in your own community, we wouldn't be able to carry out our work. Our job is to make sure those donations get to the people who need them.

Every single donation is appreciated, nothing is taken for granted here, and everything we receive is valued.

We also want to share our appreciation for our legendary volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered with us in the past, everyone who volunteers with us now, and everyone who will volunteer with us in the future. Every person who gives their time helps us keep doing what we do.

Also a huge thank you to everyone who supports us in other ways too. Those who share our posts, give us opportunities, recommend us, make introductions, offer us space, or supports events that raise money for us.

Fylde Kids Foundation exists because people care about other people and we're incredibly grateful to every single person who plays a part ❤️

Has anybody got a 3 pin 'granny charger' that we can borrow until ours gets installed.

Using public charging for the van is getting pretty costly.

Thank you 😊

🖤💛Why Fylde Coast Community Awards are so important to us💛🖤

There’s a really simple reason Fylde Coast Community Awards matter so much to Fylde Kids Foundation...
They help fund the work we do.

Last year alone, they raised an outstanding £11,000 for us and that money plays a massive part in allowing us to keep doing what we do and supporting local children and families..

That money is a huge part of what allows us to keep supporting children and families across the Fylde Coast. Without fundraising like this, we simply couldn’t do as much as we do.

But the money isn’t the only thing we love about the awards.

We LOVE watching businesses meet, make connections and then go on to work together. We’ve seen so many new relationships come from those nights, and it's genuinely beautiful watch.

We’ve also seen businesses come along, learn more about what’s happening in our towns and realise just how much support is needed. Some have gone on to support Fylde Kids Foundation, others have supported different local causes. No matter the cause thwy choose, thats extra support for our towns most vulnerable people 🫶🏻
That’s what community is supposed to look like

So, yes, the awards raise a massive amount for us, but they also bring people together, create connections and get more people invested in helping their own community, and we think that’s pretty special ❤️

Go get yourselves involves, theres zero cost to enter and even being nominated is a credit to you 🥰

Wow! You guys have been having fun on those nomination forms 👀
Keep it coming!
