1st Erskine Beavers

We were away this weekend undertaking training to help us get one step towards getting more 'Nights Away' permits for leaders, which let us take the Beavers away on sleepovers, both indoors and campsites.

It was very cold most of the time 🥶but the sun came out today just in time for some wide games and our last bit of learning before coming home 🌞

It's great to have another bit of training under our belts to make the Scouting experience better for our members and the chance to meet some more leaders (and the great training team!!) from South West Region Scouts ⚜️😊

As we are nearing the end of this term, we are looking to see who will be joining us in January! (Age 5 and 3/4 - 8, both boys and girls welcome!)

We are looking for new leaders to join us on a Tuesday evening.

If you have grown up with Scouting in your life and are looking to get involved again, or never had any involvement but would like to challenge yourself or gain experience for your CV, then please get in touch!

You need to

- Be 18 or over
- Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme (If you aren't already then Scouts will arrange this for you)
- Complete a few short online courses including safeguarding
- Be able to help out when you can! If you can't come every week due to shifts or other commitments, this isn't an issue, we'd still love to have you to be part of the team and help our Beavers learn

We are back after the summer holidays at our new venue - Baragarran Primary School - and we have space for new members 😀

If your child is aged 5 - 8 and would like to join, get in touch or pop along between 6.30 - 7.30pm today (Tuesday 26th) and meet the group 😀

(We also have space for Cubs, if they're between 8 and 10 - Same day, same venue, just finishing later at 8pm)

If any adults are looking for a new challenge and would like to help out, we are also looking for new leaders to help us when they're able to😊
