A BIG thank you to the team at Chelmunds Court - Runwood Homes Senior Living for being so welcoming and for all they do to support both the community and local professionals. 💙

Our colleagues, Sian and Natalia, recently attended their Thanksgiving Event and had the opportunity to learn more about the amazing work they do to give back to the community. From Dementia Café mornings to fun days and community events.

They had a fantastic time meeting the team and exploring ways we can continue to support their wonderful work ,including promoting upcoming events and connecting them with other local providers and partners.

Thank you again for your kindness, hospitality, and dedication to the community! 🌟

On Sunday I popped down to Babbs Mill Park to meet Sarah, the Race Director, and her fantastic team of volunteers who run the Junior parkrun every week at 9.00am. It was brilliant to see so many families out enjoying the fresh air together — walking, jogging, running, volunteering and cheering each other on.

Junior parkrun is a great introduction for children and families to be active outdoors. Taking part is really simple: once you’ve registered your child, just bring their barcode along on Sunday morning and they’re ready to join in.

These events are a wonderful way for the whole community to come together. Whether you want to take part or lend a hand as a volunteer, junior parkrun is for everyone.

New Junior ParkRun at Babbs Mills to start this Sunday!

Babbs Mill junior parkrun will be starting on Sunday 26th April. A FREE weekly 2 Km event for ages 4 to 14 will be taking place in the north of the borough in Kingshurst, alongside Fordbridge Road and Cooks Lane.

All welcome at 8:45 am for 9:00 am start. Free Women’s Walking Group – Uplift Initiative
🌿 Free Women’s Walking Group – Join Us Every Wednesday! 🌿

I recently visited Tammy, who runs the fantastic Uplift Initiative, and wanted to spread the word about a lovely opportunity for local women to get out, get moving, and connect with others.

Every Wednesday morning, Tammy hosts a free women’s walking group for local residents. It’s a welcoming, friendly group and open to all abilities — whether you’re a regular walker or just fancy a gentle stroll and a chat.

Where: Meet at Elmwood Place / Elmwood Family Hub
When: Every Wednesday at 9.30am
What: A relaxed one-hour walk, followed by hot drinks and tasty treats
