Volunteers working on preparing the wall on the Fire Station in advance of painting a fantastic new mural in July with artist Louise Garman Thank you to everyone who came out and worked hard in the rain, including Councillor Chris Garghan. Before and after in Swanshurst Park. The travellers have left even before the time was up and to be fair, they do seem to have taken notice of my requests to leave their rubbish in one pile for collection. With Barry Henley. This afternoon we picked up a lot of loose litter round the car park on Swanshurst Park. People came up to us to dispose of their rubbish , which is always encouraging. The ice cream man was kind enough to give us each an ice cream for our efforts. We ended the session with viewing the 4 baby coots in the lake being fed by their parents.

We are aware that there are 2 caravans on the Park. The eviction notice has been served and they and any others who may arrive will be leaving on Tuesday
