Well that was a different class lol. Its not often im stuck for words, but when we started the class this evening we had 3 guests arrive from The Teesside Charity. This was a complete suprise i had no idea. Thanks to our very own instructor Erin Alderson for nominating me i was very lucky to be accepted as A Teesside Hero. Having trained in martial arts for over 35 years and to have taught for over 25 years. I set our little TSD club up in January 2014. It was just me with my tin hoping people would turn up. For a number of weeks it was just me paying £40 for a 2hr session on my own. As time went on the club was getting 3 then 4 and inside 6 months we had around 10 students which kept growing. My main goal in setting up Zi-shiying-tang-soo-do was for it to be community based and ensure we focused people over profit. Nobody has ever been paid in our club the instructors show up because we care for our community and for the love of the art. I never set up the club thinking it would grow into what it has. I didnt do this alone and im eternally greatful to my wife Michelle in supporting me from the beginning and to the awesome instructors, students, parents and guardians who make our club what it is ' a family '.
Time really is the most precious thing we have and all of you have given that in abundance,
Thanks again for nominating me.
Id like to share the award with each and everyone of you who make our club different and awesome at the same time

Humbled as always
Master Craig Moat xx

Calling all students! Don't forget that class tomorrow will feature a few surprises, and you have to be in it to win it 🥋🥋🥋

Turn up early, be ready to train and join in!

If you haven't been to class for a while, don't worry - we're always happy to see you back.

I'm not saying there will definitely be competitions and prizes... 🏆
(But there will be competitions and prizes 🤫)

We’re always proud of our students and the achievements they make outside of Tang Soo Do too.
Last night we said goodbye (only for a little while!) to Abigail, who’s off to start her next chapter at Cambridge University!
We’re so proud of you and everything you’ve achieved. Good luck, stay safe, enjoy yourself and make loads of memories!
And make sure you still train 👀
You’ll be missed
