Eanred Lodge 7478 was formed in 1956 and received its Warrant of Constitution on 25th July of the same year. The Lodge was consecrated on 18th May 1957. The Lodge began life when a group of Brothers from the Lodge of Fraternity 1418, based in the Stockton Masonic Hall, decided to form a new Lodge based in Billingham. Albansโ Church Hall, Corfe Crescent, Billingham, was where the Lodge began life.
Cuthbert's Hall, Church Road , Billingham, in 1958 where it remained for ten years, moving to its present home of Billingham Masonic Hall, 32 Mill Lane, Billingham, in 1968. The Lodge meets on the second Monday of the month except for January and February when it is in recess. The Installation of the new Worshipful Master takes place at the May meeting. Eanred prides itself in being a Family Orientated Lodge with Members covering a wide age range and from many different backgrounds . Eanred Chapter was formed in 1980. The Chapter is part of the Royal Arch Degree and is a progression of Craft Freemasonry and is considered to be the culmination of the Third Degree. The Chapter meets on the last Friday of September, November, March and April. The Installation of the new First Principal occurs at the September meeting. On 16th November 2017, St. Lawrence Lodge of Mark Master Masons held its first meeting at the Hall following their move from South Shields. The Mark Degree, known as the 'Friendly Degree,' is one of the very many different side Degrees of Freemasonry. In addition, Harte Conclave of the Order of the Secret Monitor became a resident of the Hall holding their first meeting on Thursday 9th October 2025. This side degree is known as the Order of Brotherly Love.
