Contact us; [email protected] Commissioned in November 1966 Ampthill Sea Cadets paraded on Friday Evenings at Redborne Upper School. Originally named Training Ship Russell (after the Lord Ampthill's family name) the unit grew in strength and regularly paraded 60 cadets. In 1983 new facilities were found and the unit moved to Ampthill Park and had its own building. The addition of a new buil

ding on the site in the early 1990's enabled the unit to grow. In 1995 the unit began fundraising to build a new purpose built unit. In 1997 a large grant from the Leopold Muller foundation was gained. To honour this award the unit changed its name to Training Ship Leopold Muller. With funding available the Flitwick Town Council generously granted planning permission on our current site. The new unit was officially opened on the 6th December 1998 and is our current home. Since the move into purpose built facilities the unit has grown in strength and has represented the Eastern Area Sea Cadets at National events such as Drill & Piping, Sailing, Canoeing and Boathandling. Winning the prestigious Canada Trophy in 2018, for BEST UNIT IN THE COUNTRY �

🚨IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT🚨

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of our very own Lt (SCC) Stephen ‘Sven’ Sorrell RMR as the new Commanding Officer of TS Leopold Muller.

Following the Gibraltar Cup, Sven will officially take command of the unit, supported by Lt Cdr (SCC) Ruth Lloyd RNR during the transition.
We are delighted to see him step into this role and look forward to working alongside him as he leads the unit into its next chapter.

Please join us in congratulating Sven on this well-deserved appointment and wishing him every success in his new position.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Ruth for her dedication, hard work, and continued support of TS Leopold Muller.
Her commitment to the unit and its cadets has been greatly appreciated, and we are grateful for everything she has done.

Yesterday two of our newest cadets attended HMS Belfast where they were given a tour and also went aboard Canadian Navy Ship William Hall, currently alongside Belfast.
They created pictures of themselves which will be displayed on Armed Forces Day
They had a fantastic day.
