The naval family is united in grief today. Our thoughts are with the families, friends and colleagues of the three service personnel who have sadly lost their lives.

Last week, RNA Beccles Chair S/M Paul and Sec S/M Kath, together with Standard Bearer S/M Andy were privileged to join a very special day - the celebration of the 302 club. Branch member S/M Laurel now lives in a Beccles residential home together with former member Rosie and Angela, a former Landgirl. Laurel and Rosie served as Leading Wren Cooks during WW2, while Angela served in the Womens Land Army. With a combined age of 302 and service to their country, the ladies were celebrated with letters from the Suffolk Armed Forces Commissioner and the Chief Executive of the RNA and flowers from WRNS BT. Family, friends and residents enjoyed tea and a performance from The Vibettes. And thank you Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity for providing a Remembrance and Comradeship grant contribution.

At this years HMS Ganges Association reunion, President Admiral Sir James Burnell-Nugent KCB CBE presented two of our shipmates Barry Bonnamy and Chris Park with their 60 year of Joining the Royal Navy Certificates .

A commemoration of our Branch members who are Falklands veterans this month with a presentation of special Falklands medal ribbon scarves knitted by Anne from the Scarves for Falklands Veterans group.
