The perfect end to a busy week, a Friday night ride along the Trail from Dunford Bridge to Thurgoland with a stop off at the amazing Pen*stone Tap and Brew House on the way back, just a couple of hundred yards off the Trail in Pen*stone.

Step back into South Yorkshire’s hidden past with this fascinating look at the lost Worsbrough Branch of the Dearne and Dove Canal. Once serving collieries and industry, much of the canal disappeared due to mining subsidence, but traces still remain.

The film, produced by Wobbly Runner Exploring uncovers surviving bridges, canal structures, old industrial sites and the impressive Swaithe Viaduct, revealing how canals and railways once shaped the landscape.

🚨 Reporting Anti-Social Behaviour on the Trans Pennine Trail 🚨

If you see any anti-social behaviour or illegal vehicle use on the Trail, please report it to the Police by calling 101.

Even if it’s after the event, reporting still really matters as it it helps the Police build valuable intelligence and focus resources on known trouble spots.
