People living and working in or around Barnoldswick taking practical steps to improve our environment. We believe that each of us can make changes in the way we live, and that when added together these small changes will help us build a more sustainable community. We are committed to working together to make Barnoldswick a community that cares for its environment. We want to create a town with:

Cleaner air
• Cleaner streets
• Less waste
• Lower energy homes and businesses

We will do this by:
• Learning together how we each can reduce the damage we do to our environment
• Running workshops, activities, and events to help create a local eco movement
• Working with local businesses and employers to support as they look for ways to reducing their ecological footprint

We are a non-political group and see the need to repair our world as being above politics and something that everyone can play a part in.

It's our first birthday! Don't forget that we are hoping for a group photo of people with the things they have had repaired. If possible, please can you come down to our August Repair Cafe at 11 o'clock this Saturday, 29 August.
If you have something which needs repairing we are open from 9.30.

BARNOLDSWICK RIVERBLITZ - HAVE YOUR SAY!

Our first drop in session is this Saturday, 22 August at Barnoldswick Library between 9.30 and 12.30 where you can use your local knowledge to share your ideas on what problems need to be investigated and learn how you can get involved in the RiverBlitz event.

If you can't make this Saturday, there will be another drop in session on Saturday, 5 September. The River Blitz itself is on 3 October.

Have you had something repaired at our Repair Cafe?
It doesn't seem like a year, but our first anniversary will be on 26 September. More details about this will be published later but we are hoping to get a group photo of people with their repaired items at our August cafe to use in publicity for our anniversary.
If you are able to, please could you come along to the Repair Cafe on 29 August at 11 o'clock with your repaired item(s).
