📢 Group update – sessions on 12th & 19th August cancelled

Due to low attendance over the past few weeks, we’ve made the decision not to open on Tuesday 12th or Tuesday 19th August.

Instead, we’ll be focusing on preparing for our final celebration event on Tuesday 26th August, and we really hope to see you there 💜

Our closing party – Tuesday 26th August
Join us for one last get-together across two rooms on the first floor, with:

🍽️ A buffet
🥂 Prosecco, Nosecco, tea and coffee
🍰 Cake
🧸 Soft play
🎁 Toy giveaway
📚 Breastfeeding books and items for sale (including pumps from £1)
💊 Free vitamins

It’s a chance to reconnect, celebrate the past 8 years, and say goodbye together 💐

🌸 A Bittersweet Goodbye 🌸

After 8 incredible years, we are deeply saddened to share that West Craven Breastfeeding Friends will be closing our doors.

Over the years, we’ve had the absolute privilege of supporting hundreds of local families on their breastfeeding journeys and beyond. We've laughed together, cried together, lifted each other up, and built a safe, welcoming space that we know meant so much to so many.

Unfortunately, in recent years, our volunteer numbers and group attendance have gradually declined, and despite our best efforts to turn things around, it’s simply no longer sustainable for us to continue. This hasn’t been an easy decision, and it certainly hasn’t been made lightly. 😢

We would love to invite all the families who’ve been part of our journey to join us for one final celebration on Tuesday, 26th August at our usual time of 1-3pm. We’ll be gathering to honour our history, share memories, and say our goodbyes. There will be toys to give away and a selection of books and breast pumps available for sale. We'll also have some cake (duh), food, and bubbly to celebrate!

This is a sad moment, yes — but also a time to reflect with pride and gratitude. What we created together was truly special. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to every parent, volunteer, and supporter who walked through our doors. You made this group what it was.

Here’s to the beautiful bond of breastfeeding, and to the next chapter — wherever it takes us 💜
