JWLOL No. 55 Daughters of Ferniskey, Ballymena were delighted to attend the joint inaugural Sunday Service hosted by Glenhugh LOL 344 and Cullybackey LOL 696 in Cullybackey.

Members paraded to Cuningham Memorial Church, where a meaningful and well-attended service was held. The occasion provided a wonderful opportunity for fellowship with brethren and sisters from across the district.

A particularly poignant moment in the evening was the pause at the Cullybackey War Memorial, where wreaths were laid and respects paid in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

A sincere word of thanks is extended to the organisers for their warm invitation and for hosting such a dignified and memorable event.

Well done to Daughters Of Ferniskey JWLOL 55 as we attended the Antrim Junior County Orange Association parade which was held at Portrush today were Junior Girls Lodges walked under the Junior Orange Women's Association of Ireland on parade ,such a fantasic amount of Junior Boys and junior girls on parade

Attending also was our very own Parent Lodge Ferniskey WLOL 74 who came down also for this Parade .

Well done to all Juniors 🧡💜

Ballymena District LOL No. 8 is delighted to announce that a special, first ever District Mini 12th parade will take place in Cullybackey on Saturday 27 June 2026.

This historic occasion marks an exciting new chapter for the District as it brings one of its most cherished events to the heart of the village.

The event will set the tone for an afternoon of family‑friendly celebration, with a fun day planned at The Hill playing fields beside Cullybackey College to commence proceedings at 12:00. Families can look forward to a selection of children’s inflatables, face painting, and balloon modelling, ensuring plenty of entertainment for younger visitors and to keep everyone refreshed throughout the day, there will be burger and traditional ice‑cream vans, offering a great selection of treats for all ages.

The procession, commencing at Pottinger Street at 2:30PM will travel along Main Street and Shellinghill Road before completing a circuit of Kilmakevit and Tobar Park on the return to Pottinger Street via the same route.

Ballymena District LOL No. 8 extends a warm invitation to the entire community to come along, enjoy the festivities, and be part of this special first‑ever Mini 12th Parade in Cullybackey featuring bands, banners, colour and music.

Commenting Worshipful District Master Bro Matthew Armstrong said; “Our annual mini 12th is one of the focal points of our local parading calendar and this year especially so as it also marks an important milestone in Ballymena District’s ongoing commitment to community engagement across the wider Ballymena area. We are grateful for the ever present support and encouragement we receive from the public and we hope that they will enjoy the occassion as we celebrate our rich culture and heritage together.
