🎉🎉🎉

We're delighted to introduce Matt Paramor as our new District Lead Volunteer, starting from 1 November 2026. Matt takes over from Craig, who's held the role for the last ten years.

Matt brings a wealth of experience to the role, and we hope you'll join us in welcoming him to his new role. Matt's pictured here (on the left, as you look at the photo) trying to persuade a Swiss cow to volunteer, on our 2024 trip to Kandersteg International Scout Centre...

Could it be you???

Kent Scouts are searching for the next Lead Volunteer for Malling Scouts. Nominate someone who you think would be great for the role, or yourself, at www.kentscouts.org.uk/dlvsearch. Nominations should be received on or before 31st August 2026.

We’re saying thanks to Craig, who’s been our District Lead Volunteer for the last 10 years. If you’re up for the challenge, or just want to know more, feel free to get in touch.

I called in to visit Ditton Scouts and Guides tonight just ahead of their hike. They contacted me for funding to help purchase new kitchen equipment so they can promote the Chef's Activity Badge.

I am always happy to support youth groups in our villages, so handed over a cheque for £250 from my Community Fund.
