Wateringbury Scout Group

Wateringbury Scout Group As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life. We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more. Everyone’s welcome here.

Scouts are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team and taking on new challenges. Every week scouting gives almost half a million 6-25 year olds the skills they need for school, college, university, the job interview, the important speec

h, the tricky challenge and the big dreams: the skills they need for life. All genders, races and backgrounds. Regardless of your child’s physical ability – there’s a Scout adventure out there waiting for them. And we’ll help them find it.

Was a pleasure to award two of our Beavers with their Chief Scout Bronze Award and storm the castle yesterday run by Kent Beaver Scouts. The Chief Scout Bronze Award is the highest award you can achieve in Beavers. These two have been great Beavers and achieved lots. They now have moved on to a different Cub Pack but we wish them well
Thanks to the team at Kent Beaver Scouts for assisting in the presentation and being there to capture the moment.

Are you a potterer? Do you spend your spare time in a shed fixing things? Then you might be just what we're looking for.
We need a Quartermaster to help look after our kit so that the young people of our village can grow and explore.
This is a volunteer role that can be shaped around your availability.
DM us if you'd like to have a no obligation chat.

CONGRAULATIONS NICOLA! An awesome achievement and amazing milestone! !

Gone Home.
It’s with sadness that our County Commissioner has passed away suddenly, Dean, was great inspiration to many people and always wore a smile and said hello to everyone he met.
Our condolances to his family and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this difficult time.

Do More. Learn More. Be More.

As Scouts, we believe in preparing young people with skills for life.

We encourage our young people to do more, learn more and be more.

Each week, we give over 460,000 young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, now and in the future. We’re talking about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians.

We believe in bringing people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always.
