Summer Art and Craft Evening - Wednesday 10th June @7.30pm , Ashton Keynes Village Hall.

Following a brief talk by Rob Abbott about the Kelly Foundation,, our chosen charity for the year, we'll dive straight into a lively arts and crafts evening. One group will create colourful tissue paper flowers to take home, while the other paints bright, eye-catching blooms for the upcoming exhibition in the Telephone Gallery, before swapping over. The WI is supporting A Million Acts of Hope, an initiative celebrating kindness and hope in our communities. Local people were invited to send in sentences describing their acts of kindness or the acts of kindness of others.

These are now on display in the Telephone Gallery in Ashton Keynes. (The Gallery is curated by Kathryn Gray, a WI member)

Ashton Keynes WI was mentioned a few times:

The WI take part in a citizen science project and we test the water quality of the Thames in Church Walk twice a year.

Thank you to all the WI committee members who all do an amazing job keeping our group going.

The WI coffee morning team - many thanks for all your hard work and amazing cakes!

The community First Aid course organised by the WI and the Village Hall was brilliant. The trainer Gary Owen from Inspire First Training was fantastic and made it all so memorable. Thanks, Gary!

I really appreciate the fun and friendship I enjoy with my WI friends.

A enormous NFWI thank you to the members that keep communities thriving, and do the little unsung things that keep us all going. Those who organise community litter picks and clean river clear-ups, volunteer at foodbanks, and fundraise for causes big and small...

Will you join us and sign the Biggest Ever Thank You card to the people across the UK who all make Britain brighter? https://millionactsofhope.org/
