Over the May half term we welcomed RSPB Northbourne Wildlife Explorers and Phoenix group to the Nailbourne for some river dipping and raft racing fun! We had a great time identifying the invertebrates we found and investigating the flow of the stream with our home made rafts. 🔎

If you would like to bring your school class or youth group for an AquaLab session completely free of charge then please see our website for more details: https://kentishstour.org.uk/the-partnership/our-services/schools/

Its not too late to sign up to our upcoming Citizen Science training session happening Wednesday 20th May 6-7pm at The Herne Center 🌳

Citizen Science is a great way to get involved and gather valuable data which can be used to inform woodland management plans and support important habitats. We are running a Citizen Science program at Curtis Wood starting with a training session on the evening of the 20th May ready for the BioBlitz in June. We will then follow this up with a Fungi recording event in the Autumn and encourage local people to continue collecting data at the Woods as a formed group of Citizen Scientists.

To get involved please email [email protected] for more details on the training evening.
