For the safety of all players and spectators and for the benefit of the game, could everyone please try and abide to a few specific requests.
We can only ask, but it is with everyone’s best interests in mind that we try!
In Ashbourne we play this fantastic game with Historical Tradition and Respect not only for one another but also for our town!
*Please take great caution with parking of vehicles and make use of our FREE PARK AND RIDE service that we will be running constantly throughout the 2 days.
*Spectators- when the ball is turned up, please try and fill the area towards the ‘old plinth’ at the Park Road end of the car park. Please try not to congregate in the play zone in and around the new plinth.
* Please do not bring or purchase drinks in glass bottles.
* For their own safety as much as everyone else’s, please try and leave all pets at home or keep a safe distance away from the hug.
* Please think very carefully of the risks before bringing elderly/vulnerable people or young children to watch the game. The ball and hug can move very quickly in all directions, Please keep your distance. Try and stay in the open and be aware of your surroundings especially if play is in the town.
*Please understand and think of the possible but avoidable risks before bringing pushchairs, wheelchairs or Baby carriers.
*Please respect All people’s private property and vehicles at all times.
*Please listen to and abide by any requests or instructions from Marshalls or either of the Committees representatives at all times. All Marshalls have Radio handsets and are in communication with the Chief Marshall and Emergency services at all times.
Most of all please enjoy yourselves and remember to be responsible for your actions and decisions throughout the two days. You not only represent yourselves but also the Game and the Town.
Many Thanks
The Players Committee.
