We are a charity group, made up entirely of volunteers. We manage and maintain the courtyard gardens within the beautiful Antrim Castle Gardens.

We are an independent group and as a charity depend on funding and donations to support us. We're a volunteer gardening group based at the beautiful Antrim Castle Gardens. We grow flowers, fruits, herbs, and vegetables. Feel free to get in touch!

Well that’s it over for another year and what a wonderful 3 days it has been . Laughter Music Food bubbles and of course plants The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed every minute of it. But even though it’s over for another year don’t forget Friends of Antrim Castle Gardens are in Antrim Castle Gardens & Clotworthy House throughout the year and we would love you come and see us.

It’s Volunteer week and the gardens are looking amazing. Despite the rain we were delighted to have some lovely visitors who came along for a chat and to see what we do Volunteers' Week Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough

Plant of the month for June is the Chiliean Lantern Tree (Crinodendron Hookerianum)
• Best known for its bright red, lantern-shaped waxy flowers that hang downwards from the branches.
• The shrub has narrow, glossy, dark green leaves that provide year- round structure.
• It thrives in partially shaded spots with moist, well-drained acidic soil
• This plant has received the Royal Horticultural Society's award of Garden Merit for its ornamental beauty and performance.
This beautiful plant can be found in the ericaceous bed at the Courtyard Gardens within Antrim Castle Gardens & Clotworthy House
