Dementia-friendly Alton

Dementia-friendly Alton Dementia-friendly Alton-promoting a dementia-friendly community within Alton and surrounding villages

Alton became the first town in East Hampshire to become Dementia Friendly at a launch in the Community Centre on 1st July 2014. Many dementia and care organisations attended and since then over forty high street retailers have signed up to the Dementia Friendly Initiative. This means that they will display a dementia friendly sticker in their windows to show people that their staff have been tra

ined to provide appropriate help and support to people with dementia and their families. Visit our website at http://www.hugofox.com/community/dementia-friendly-alton-7739/about-us

So excited and honoured to be supporting this event next Saturday 22nd August!! Always a great event for the Town with so much bustle on the High Street. Alton Assembly Rooms is pleased to play host to the indoor part of the event on the day, plus offer a welcoming cafe for the day, as well as provide space for the judges to 'do their thing'!! In addition to this we are pleased to be contributing to the street entertainment on the day - we will be singing out in front of the Cairn with Harry Bassett and Andrea Ojano from 1015 - 1130 - so do come and join us!! More music will follow on from that for the rest of the day - or you can nip inside the assembly rooms to race a car around the Main Ballroom !! Vroom!!!
