ACAN Community Hub Tackling the Climate Crisis Together

Everybody loves a christmas cookie! If you also enjoy making christmas cookies, how about gifting self-made cookies instead of buying stuff?!

Depending on your culinary skills, you can bake cookies or make jams as gifts. Homemade treats are personal, thoughtful and reduce packaging waste. And if the cookies are vegan, you can be sure everyone can eat them AND their carbon footprint will be even smaller :)

https://youtu.be/X1-JpF2mAV8 Here is the link to the recording of an inspirational recent online meeting which celebrated the progress of the Gumbi Alton Permaculture Project, ACAN's climate justice project in Malawi, with Patrick Kamzitu the local co-ordinator (on the left in the first photo). Trained at the Permaculture Paradise Institute, young farmers in Gumbi have a demonstration farm and are now using sustainable farming methods on their own homestead plots. From 2025, they will be training other farmers in the area. Donations via the ACAN website are always welcome, however small - £5 buys seeds and seedlings, £50 a wheelbarrow and tools for a homestead farmer https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/18131 #!/DonationDetails
