1st Alsager Scout Group

1st Alsager Scout Group Alsager Scouts provides a safe place for young people aged 4-18 to experience fun and adventure Only group event information will be posted.

This page is designed as a supplement to the website and weekly letters that go out to sections. No individual section events will be posted. If you have any questions please contact the section leader. "Every child has the right to an adventure. Life is about grabbing opportunities. The prizes don’t always go to the biggest, the best, and the strongest – they go to those who persevere. These are

simple life lessons that Scouting teaches. Scouting’s 500,000 members are an inspiration. It's great to see it. It's all about friendship and fun and adventure – people who might not normally have the chance for adventure. Scouts are shining lights in their communities"
Bear Grylls OBE
Chief Scout

We are incredibly sad and sorry to share that 6th Alsager Brownies will be closing this summer. Despite our best efforts, we have not had enough volunteers come forward to take over the unit.

Girlguiding Alsager is thriving, with over 100 girls currently on our waiting lists. We simply cannot afford to lose units when there is such a strong need in our community. We need more volunteers so we can reach more girls and give them the opportunities they deserve.

Our leaders are a fantastic, diverse group, showing girls that no matter who you are, you can achieve amazing things. Being part of this community is truly special.

Please do not let this be the end. If you have ever thought about volunteering, now is the time to step forward. Sign up via the link below or send us a message here. You can also contact Lydia on 07791426332 to find out more.

Together, we can keep this opportunity alive for the girls who need it.

Congratulations to our scout leader, Ellie-Kay who was invited to The Scouts day of celebration at Windsor Castle, in recognition of her receiving her King’s Scout Award! 👏🏻

The King’s Scout Award (KSA), previously Queen’s Scout Award (QSA), is the highest award a young person can achieve in scouting and signifies a true commitment to our movement and to them themselves.

Ellie-Kay joined scouting later than many, as a volunteer, but this has not stopped her - she has taken every opportunity to get involved, step up and challenge herself, and this award celebrates what can be achieved when you put your mind to something. 🙌

Huge congratulations Ellie-Kay! You join the small but mighty circle of Alsager QSA/KSA holders! 🎖️
