Since September is Alzheimer's Awareness Month, we wanted to share some ways that you could get support in the local area πŸ’™

Alsager became a Dementia Friendly Community in 2017, celebrated with the opening of Alsager Memory CafΓ©. Run by suitably trained workers and volunteers, the Memory CafΓ© is a great way to relax, meet old friends, and maybe even make new friends. There are lots of activities for people to get involved with, or you can just have a cup of tea/coffee and a chat. It is free to attend on the last Friday of each month for anybody living with dementia and their carers β˜•πŸ«Ά

There is also a dementia information stall at the Cedars Practice on the 3rd Tuesday of every month 10:00 - 12:00 , and one at Merepark Practice on the last Monday of each month 10:00 - 12:00 β„Ή

Alsager Community Support is a Dementia Friend, and our Centre has a range of information, including finances, power of attorney, and Alzheimer's/dementia specific organisations in the local area 🀩

For more Information about Alzheimer's, you can visit www.alzheimers.org.uk ❀️

If you would like to support the fantastic work of our Dementia Friendly Community, there will be an awareness raising concert on Saturday 3rd October 2026. For more information, contact Kath on 01270 873975 or [email protected] 🩡
