Alsager and District Foodbank

20/09/2026

Harvest Festivals seem to be happening a little earlier this year(maybe due to the hot summer). We have been asked for ideas of things we would like to have donated, so below is a photo of the types of items we are low of or know we will becoming low of. If you are not able to donate please share this posting to give others ideas as many churches and schools will be having collections over the coming weeks and the donations go a long way to helping us through the autumn into the winter. Many thanks to you all

🥫💚 PLEASE HELP US SUPPORT ALSAGER & DISTRICT FOOD BANK 💚🥫

We’re collecting donations here at The Lawton Arms for Alsager & District Food Bank, and we’d love our amazing community to get behind us. ❤️

If you can spare anything at all, please drop your donations off at the pub and we’ll make sure they reach the food bank.

They’re looking for items including:
🫘 Tinned food, pasta, rice & sauces
🥣 Cereals, long-life milk, tea & coffee
🍪 Biscuits, snacks, custard & rice pudding
🧴 Toiletries & household essentials
👶 Nappies, baby wipes & baby toiletries
🐶🐱 Dog & cat food

🛍️ CARRIER BAGS ARE ALSO REALLY NEEDED, so please drop off any spare carrier bags you have too!

Every single donation, big or small, can make a difference to a local family. 💚

📍 Drop-off point: The Lawton Arms

Please share this post and help us spread the word. 🙏

Thank you for supporting our local community. ❤️

Thank you to the kind lady (you know who you are) who spent her Nectar points on a donation of basics for the foodbank. We very much appreciate it and what a wonderful thing to do with Nectar points 🙂

A Big Thank You to staff and customers of Railway Inn, The Horseshoe Inn and The Linley Tavern for collecting Easter Eggs for us. Also thank you to all individuals that donated to us.
We hope you all have a great Easter and thank everyone for their continued support 🥚🐣🐥

We are approaching Easter and we hope the cold weather is almost over. We still have people turning to us for support so if you would like to donate any non perishable items we would be most grateful, we are low on most staple store cupboard items, soup, beans, rice, pasta, biscuits, tin veg, etc.
oh and if anyone still has plastic carrier bags cluttering up a cupboard we can put them to a good use. Please share this post even if you are not able to donate, it may mean someone who can sees it and helps. Many thanks to you all ❤️

A massive thank you to Alsager Sainsbury’s Store for the amazing donation of stock that they have just donated. We have had an extremely busy beginning of the year and this was much needed stock.
Thank you to Everyone who keeps us going and enables us to help the community we all live and work in. 👏👏
