*Update Saturday 30th May: Thank you for all of the offers of support! We are doing our best to share all of this with those in need.

Currently donations of food and toiletries would be very helpful for families. Please drop off to Coalsnaughton primary school between 10am and 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Locations after Sunday will be shared when confirmed.

Anyone with donations but can't make it along to Coalsnaugton, please contact our staff member Sam on her work number and arrange a pick up: 07935095058

Clackmannanshire Tenants and Residents Federation is also looking for information about potential free or cheap places where displaced families can stay. Please share this directly with them.*

*update: thank you to everyone who has commented so far! please continue to add any support you see or can offer. Please also share with residents so they can see this up to date list of support*

We know many people across Clackmannanshire will be concerned following the ongoing ground movement issues in Coalsnaughton, which have now resulted in further evacuations affecting residents in both Benbuck View and Dunmoss View. (plus the further 28 properties in Nechtan Drive and nine properties in Langour as of this afternoon)

Our thoughts are with everyone impacted during what will be an incredibly worrying and uncertain time.

We want to help gather and share a clear list of support available for affected residents and families.

We’re asking local organisations, community groups, businesses, and individuals to let us know if they can offer any support, including:

• Emergency essentials
• Food or hot meals
• Clothing, toiletries, or baby items
• Pet support
• Mental health and wellbeing support
• Transport assistance
• Community spaces, charging points, or WiFi access
• Advice, advocacy, or practical support
• Volunteer help

If you can help, please comment below or message us directly with:
• What support you can offer
• How people can access your support
• Relevant contact details or times

We will do our best to collate and share information to help residents access support during this difficult time.

Please share this post so we can reach as many people as possible. 💙

Session 13 of the THRIVE to Keep Well programme was another valuable and inspiring day for our participants.

This week, participants heard from Clackmannanshire Third Sector Interface and CERT- Clackmannanshire Economic Regeneration Trust about the different opportunities and pathways available after completing THRIVE, helping them look ahead to the next stage of their journey.

We also welcomed Fire & Rescue, who delivered an important session on staying safe at home and shared practical advice to support wellbeing and independence.

Participants spent time reflecting on their personal progress by working on their THRIVE Journey journals, as we begin preparations for our celebration event in just two weeks’ time. It’s fantastic to see the confidence, growth, and achievements developing throughout the programme. Clackmannanshire Works Clackmannanshire Council Clackmannanshire Education Services

GROUND MOVEMENT, COALSNAUGHTON
Following the ground movement at Benbuck View, Coalsnaughton, which resulted in the evacuation of 30 homes on 18 May, further issues have been reported and found on Dunmoss View, and as a result an additional 30 homes have been evacuated today.
The priority of all Local Resilience Partners continues to be the safety of everyone involved, and our officers remain in the local area to offer further guidance to residents during what we appreciate is a worrying time for them. This includes offering support to the residents as they navigate the next steps, which will include contacting their insurers.
The specialist investigations undertaken by the Mining Remediation Authority are expected to take some time to complete, and we will continue to make sure that residents can be updated with progress as soon as this information becomes available.

The Clacks (CLD) team were absolutely delighted to be out supporting the Sauchie Community Group today for their incredible Gig in the Garden at the Sauchie Resource Centre!

An afternoon packed with brilliant live music, arts & crafts, a scavenger hunt, and plenty of smiles (the ☀️ even came out).

A massive well done to Sauchie Community Group organisers, volunteers, and all the performers 🎤 🎶. Some amazing connections were made too ☺️ Clackmannanshire Council
