Adlington Scout Group

Adlington Scout Group Adlington Scout Group, established in 1966, is over 50 years old and has seen generations of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts enjoy countless Scouting adventures

The varied and exciting programme that Scouting offers, combined with the commitment and dedication of its volunteer base, has made it the largest voluntary youth movement in the world – and it is still expanding! Each section at Adlington Scout Group enjoys a wide range of activities which encourage and develop creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, independence and social development. As our you

ng people progress, they gain badges and awards in recognition of their achievements. We run the following sessions:

Beaver Scouts (6-8 years old) Monday night and Friday night colony. Cub Scouts (8-10½ years old) Tuesday night Cub pack and Thursday night Cub pack. Scouts (10½-14 years old) Monday and Friday night troops. Membership of Scouts is open to boys and girls over the age of six up to 14 years of age. For those between 14 and 16 years old we have opportunities for Young Leaders to work within a section, supporting and leading activities. Adult roles vary from Section Leader to a range of Executive Committee roles – all volunteering to make sure a range of Scouting activities and adventures are available on a weekly basis for the young people of Adlington and the surrounding area. If you would like to join our Group, please get in touch.

Some photos from county rally 2026 this weekend.

Not many photos of the scouts doing activities as they all went off and did whatever activities they wanted.

Despite the rain, most importantly we had fun 😊

Last night. Tuesday cubs learnt how to build Hedgehog nests and then they built two, tucked away in our own grounds.
