What a great evening to be messing about in boats! ⛵️⛵️⛵️⛵️

The cubs took to the water on Fishmoor reservoir to learn sailing skills. They had to work as a team to coordinate the sail, rudder and wind direction. They all did brilliantly and no one ended up in the water. Bravo Cubs! 👏👏👏👏

Yesterday, the Cubs teamed up with Beavers (and a token Scout) to take part in the Chorley Monopoly Run. Our St Joe's team had to solve clues, answer questions, take part in challenges and explore the deepest, darkest corners of Chorley (who knew there was a soap factory behind the railway station?!?!?!).

We clocked up over 13k steps, but made time for plenty of breaks, including a trip to Frederick's Ice Cream to cool off.

We all had a great time in the sunshine and we all learned lots about our hometown. Bravo to the organisers for putting on such a fun event 👏👏👏

Check out some of our Cubs and Beavers (and Leaders) helping staff at Inspire Youth Zone to complete their virtual cycle event to reach the MetLife Stadium in the USA ahead of England’s match there next weekend. This was just one of the stops on Chorley District Scouts Mini Monopoly Run.

The Beavers enjoyed celebrating the Beaver section turning 40 back in April when it was their time to attend the county’s birthday celebration at Bibby’s farm!

The beavers enjoyed making bubbles with our very own scout Tom, bouncy castles, grass sledging, candy floss, cake decorating and so much more!!

The Squirrels had a fantastic fun filled day at Bibby’s Farm back in April celebrating the sections 5th birthday with Squirrels from all over West Lancs.

The squirrels enjoyed making bubbles, decorating woggles, bouncy castles, Tomahawks and much much more!

Three of our Cubs spent last weekend making new friends with Cubs from West Lancs Scouts as they undertook their final preparation event for their trip to Kandersteg in the summer. BRAVO to Noah, Robin and Theo! 🇨🇭⛺️
