Brandon from Chorley was referred to The King's Trust and joined the Get into Business Administration programme, where he showed real resilience and commitment.
Brandon is now in a job he loves and has already been recognised with a nomination at the Movement to Work Social Mobility Awards 2024, a powerful reminder of how opportunity and support can transform a life. A very well done to Brandon!

Growing up in Chorley, Lancashire, Brandon faced challenges at home that left him withdrawn, isolated and unsure of his place.

With few qualifications and low confidence, he applied for retail jobs but couldn’t find anyone willing to give him a chance. His mental health suffered, and unemployment felt never‑ending. He was referred to The King’s Trust and joined the Get into Business Administration programme, where he showed real resilience and commitment.

Brandon is now in a job he loves and has already been recognised with a nomination at the Movement to Work Social Mobility Awards 2024, a powerful reminder of how opportunity and support can transform a life.

Brandon is our England Homesense Award winner! Tap the link in our comments to discover more about his story. ⬇️

⏱️ It's almost time for our care leavers sponsored run, Miles for Memories, this Saturday 18 April to help raise funds for activities to help them stay connected with each other. Have you seen their inspirational video yet? Hear their stories of what it's like to manage independently at such a young age, both financially and emotionally. They are asking for small contributions to create memories such as cinema trips that build friendships, day outings that broaden their world, Christmas meals that ensure no one is alone, and residential adventures that grow confidence.

Please give what you can on their go fund me page - https://www.gofundme.com/f/lancashire-care-leavers-on-the-move-miles-for-memories?attribution_id=sl:a06f320e-d095-41c4-b8d9-4e0568011956&lang=en_GB&ts=1773225356&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_content=amp20_t2&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=qr_code
