Sinfonia Cymru at Musicfest!

The incredible young musicians at Sinfonia Cymru are back at Musicfest with another fantastic new concert - Chamber Music Supersized, which features a new arrangement by David John Roche Composer from South Wales.
They'll also be taking part in our closing concert The Land of Youth!

In keeping with our 'Childhood' theme for this years Musicfest, Trumpeter Tomos Williams has created a new jazz set responding to Waldo Williams's children's poems - Cerddi'r Plant. He'll share the stage with the incredible Welsh vocalist EADYTH, poet and Archdruid of Wales Mererid Hopwood and band Blodeugerdd.

The Railway Children - 20.07.26

📣 We're excited to share that we'll be hosting the Wales premiere and the second ever performance of The Railway Children, a new opera by Mark-Anthony Turnage, which premiered at Glyndebourne, with incredible feedback, in 2025.

As if this wasn't enough, the orchestra will be Welsh National Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru and they'll be conducted by the Artistic Director of our Festival, Iwan Teifion Davies!
