💜 Domestic violence affects people from all walks of life and can take many forms, including physical, emotional, psychological, and financial abuse.

No one deserves to live in fear. By raising awareness, supporting survivors, and speaking out against abuse, we can help create safer communities for everyone.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, remember: you are not alone, and support is available. Reaching out is a sign of strength.

Together, we can break the silence and help end domestic violence.

This Father’s Day, we celebrate fathers and father figures who show that strength is found in respect, empathy, and accountability.

Children learn from the adults around them. When fathers model healthy relationships, respectful communication, emotional awareness, and non-violent behaviour, they help shape a future where everyone can feel safe and valued.

Preventing domestic abuse starts with the messages we pass on every day—about respect, equality, consent, and how we treat one another, especially during difficult moments.

Today, we recognise the fathers and father figures who lead by example, challenge harmful attitudes, and help break cycles of violence for future generations.

Together, we can build safer families, healthier relationships, and communities where respect is the norm.

This version keeps the focus on prevention while remaining positive and avoiding language that could alienate fathers who are supportive allies.

"Maybe I'm overreacting."

"It only happens when they're angry."

"Things aren't bad all the time."

If you've found yourself making excuses for someone's behaviour or questioning whether what you're experiencing is abuse, you're not alone.

Abuse isn't always physical. It can look like being constantly criticised, controlled, isolated from friends and family, monitored, manipulated, threatened, or made to feel afraid.

You do not need to have all the answers to reach out for support.

If something in your relationship doesn't feel right, trust yourself enough to explore those feelings. Talking to someone can help you understand what's happening and what options are available to you.

You deserve a relationship built on respect, trust, and safety.

If you're questioning your relationship, we're here to listen without judgement.

Every person deserves to feel safe, respected, and valued in their relationships.

Domestic abuse can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, background, or circumstance. It is not always physical—it can also involve emotional, psychological, financial, sexual, or coercive control.

If you are experiencing abuse, or if you are concerned about someone you know, support is available. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength.

Together, we can create communities where respect, equality, and safety are at the heart of every relationship.

A huge thank you to Savannah, our volunteer Art Therapy student, for facilitating a wonderful painting session at our Wellbeing Coffee Group on Friday.

The session provided a creative and relaxing opportunity for participants to express themselves, connect with others, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of art in a supportive environment.

We are incredibly grateful for Savannah's enthusiasm and creativity. Thank you for sharing your skills and helping to make the morning such a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. 🎨☕💙
