September 25th is the last opportunity for local people to object to the huge development that will cover the fields between Abbots Road and the M25.

The impact of thousands of extra people and cars will be HUGE and will change Abbots Langley forever.

Whilst the farmers have been busy in the fields, we have been busy behind the scenes!
Our work has been gathering pace in the last few weeks…

In addition to meeting hundreds of local residents at the Abbots Langley Carnival, we have also had further meetings with the Parish council, have met with our MP Gagan Mohindra and have taken formal advice from a number of professionals.
We have been bowled over by the support and are really grateful to those who have added their name to our campaign and also to those who have kindly donated to help with the costs of professional advice.

Abbots Langley does not have the road capacity, the schools, the healthcare services or the water supply to support thousands of new homes!

🌳 🏠 LOCAL PLAN NEXT STEPS
It was great to meet and talk to so many local residents at the Abbots Langley carnival. Thankfully it wasn't as hot then as it is now!
So many people thought that the huge housing allocation for the fields in Abbots was a done deal. If that was the case, we probably wouldn't exist!

It seems that most people are not aware of the landowner’s longer-term plans for the land that separates Abbots Langley, Kings Langley and Bedmond.

The reality is that the landowners have a clear and published long-term plan. The fields are viewed as a strategic development site and their desire is to build circa 2000 homes.

The current 1125 home allocation by central government is simply the start of a much bigger project...

If we stand by and do nothing, we could be looking at:
➕ 4800 more people
🚘 3000 more cars
⛔️ Pressure on all public services
❌ Loss of our open space
🌿 Irreversible damage to the environment

This level of over-development will change Abbots forever.

This week, local people have the opportunity to vote for the new Abbots Langley Neighbourhood Plan. This should NOT be confused with the Three Rivers Local Plan.
The Neighbourhood plan will help provide a framework for planning decisions and will give more control to the Parish Council in determining where developer funds go. We believe that this can only be positive for Abbots Langley.
