🆘 Please Help — A Mother-to-Be in Ba Has No Food 🆘

If you’re living in Ba we are requesting for you to reach out and check on this pregnant lady and her elderly grandmother.

Here is their story ⬇️

Imagine being 6 months pregnant, caring for your elderly grandmother, and having nothing left to eat but lemon tea for two days they also have no electricity and no kerosene in the house.

This is the reality right now for a young soon to be mother in Ba. She isn’t asking for much just enough to get through these next few days and keep herself , her elderly grandmother and her unborn child fed.

We all know how expensive life has become, and how quickly a hard week can turn into a crisis. Your $5, $10, or $20 could mean an actual meal on her table tonight. If you’re able to give more, it could mean groceries that last her the week.

Please open your heart today. No amount is too small every single dollar adds up to a real difference for her and her baby.

Update on Farida 💗

Four years ago, at just 7 months old, Farida was diagnosed with microcephaly and sent to India by Being Helping Hands Fiji for a life-threatening surgery. Today, she’s a 4-year-old girl who continues to fight, and we continue to walk this journey with her family.

This week, Farida had a general checkup with her pediatrician Dr Sailasa Misimisi Clinic in Nadi. Right now, she’s facing real challenges feeding difficulties that have led to malnutrition, and she isn’t yet reaching the milestones expected for her age.

Her care team has started her on Complan, folic acid, and a growth supplement to help build her strength. In a few months, we’ll take her back for a follow-up to see how she’s responding, and to keep adjusting her care as needed.

Farida’s story is a reminder that survival is just the beginning ongoing care, nutrition, and support are what help a child truly thrive. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏

A Reason for Someone’s Happiness Today 💛

Every act of kindness we do is never wasted.

Our team visited Shainaz’s family in Sasawira, Suva with groceries and a lot of love. This is a family we’ve walked alongside for the past couple of years, through the ups and downs.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do. A simple bag of groceries can carry so much more than food it carries care, dignity, and the message that someone hasn’t beenforgotten.

Thanks to our anonymous donor who made this possible. 🙏

💛Little Moments, Big Meaning💛

Today, Team BHHF visited a family very close to our hearts Theo and his mom, Lynette.

Theo is 11 years old and autistic. Every single day, Lynette carries the quiet, tireless work of raising him with love, patience, and a strength that few will ever fully see.

Our team members Shivani and volunteer Abdul Samid stopped by with some basic food items a small gift, offered simply because we care. But what happened next is what stayed with us.

Theo saw them arrive, and his face lit up. Without hesitation, he ran to the car and climbed right in, ready for a drive. For most children, that might seem like a small thing. But for those who know Theo, it was extraordinary he is deeply selective about who he lets close, who he trusts enough to communicate with. In that one joyful moment, he chose us.

It reminded our team of something we try never to forget: support isn’t only about what we give it’s about showing up, again and again, until trust is built and a family knows they are not alone.

To Theo and Lynette thank you for letting us be part of your world, even for an afternoon. 🙏

💛 Help Roshika — A Mother in Need of Support 💛

Dear Helping Hands,

Today we share the story of Roshika a young mother who should be spending these days cradling her newborn daughter, adjusting to life with two little girls. Instead, she’s fighting for her own health, just as her family needs her most.

Not long after welcoming her second daughter, Roshika was diagnosed with severe kidney problems. What should have been a season of joy and new beginnings has become one of hospital visits, uncertainty, and fear — fear of not being strong enough to raise the daughters she loves.

Roshika now needs dialysis three times a week, at $80 a session, just to stay well enough to keep fighting. Beyond that, she needs a kidney transplant and in a quiet act of love, her own mother has offered to be her donor. But the road ahead is long, and the costs are more than her family can bear alone.

This is where we, as a community, can carry some of that weight with her. Every contribution — big or small helps Roshika stay closer to her children. Every share tells her that her story matters, and that she doesn’t have to face this alone.

💔 Help Little Zohyair Fight Thalassemia 💔

At four years old, Zohyair should be chasing butterflies, scraping his knees on the playground, falling asleep clutching his favourite toy. Instead, he knows the inside of a hospital room better than his own backyard. He knows the sting of needles, the ache of transfusions, the fear that comes before them — and still, somehow, he finds a smile for the people around him. A tiny warrior with the biggest heart.

Recently, things got even harder. His last transfusion triggered a severe allergic reaction — a frightening reminder of just how fragile his little body has become, and how much fight it’s already had to carry.

But there is still hope. A bone marrow transplant overseas could give Zohyair what every child deserves — a childhood. Time to play. Time to laugh. Freedom from hospital walls, IV lines, and the fear that comes with them.

That hope costs $100,000 FJD — an amount no family should have to face alone, and one Zohyair’s family simply cannot carry by themselves.

This is where we come in. Not as strangers looking on, but as a community choosing to stand beside a little boy and say: you are not fighting this alone.

💛 No gift is too small. Every dollar is a step closer to Zohyair’s future.

And if you can’t give today, please share his story anyway. A share costs nothing, but it tells this brave little boy that his fight matters — that he’s seen, and he’s not alone. 🙏

Feeding Hope on the Streets of Suva 🍛❤️

In the quiet streets of Suva City, 30 of our homeless brothers and sisters were reminded that they are seen, they matter, and they are not forgotten.

Team Being Helping Hands Fiji came together to serve a simple dinner of chicken curry and rice — but what we really served was dignity, warmth, and a little bit of hope for those who need it most.

This act of kindness was made possible by the compassion of our member Shivani and volunteer Abdul Samid, who gave their time and hearts to this cause.

We also want to honor our anonymous sponsor — thank you for believing that no one should go to bed hungry. Your quiet generosity is changing lives.

Every person deserves to feel human. Every night, someone somewhere is hungry and cold. If even one small act can bring comfort, imagine what we can do together. 🙏
